CAI in winter?

Just wondering if any of you guys take off you CAI for the winter? I didnt last year but Iam kinda paranoid about ****ing up my engine ie. hydrolock, and I dont really wanna get the bypass. So do any of you guys run just your CAI without the bypass all year round??? any problems yet?

Yup. I installed mine Jan 1st last year, no bypass. No problems yet, been through just about all sorts of weather now. Drove it frequently too. Just be smart and don't accelerate through puddles and stuff.

Just avoid puddles at all cost. Bypass will make you feel better, but still don't do any puddles.

I like the different feel a CAI produces. No extra HP for sure, but the car seems to accelerate differently.

why not just turn it into an SRI during winter-time? just remove the long doohicky that goes down to your bumper and attach the filter to the shorter pipe?

A bad summer storm hurts much much more than winter slush
