ive tried wrenches its just in such an odd place and there is little to no room and it seems really stuck on there,i thought there were only 3 for the heat shield, then the ones for the actual header and the two spring bolts, i got a dc sports ceramic since i needed it to be carb legal

i have an extension but with the fan for the raidator right there its a tight fit, i thinik i should have a longer wrench cause i need to apply to much force, ill try it again and see if i get it off

I had this very same problem just last week while installing my DC. The trick is to take that bolt off first. This way pressure is lessend on that bolt. If you jack up your car, you can then get under it with some vise grips and pop it off. Spray the heck out of it with some WD40 or something asnd if you still have trouble torch it and it'll weakken/ loosen cause the nut will expand and come off. After that it's a since. took me 1/2 hr. cause of the bolt

ive stripped the hell out of the bolt, but do i actually need it cause i dont think so with the design of the dc and the hole placements? is there a way i can just break it off and get the heat shield off?

No you dont need it if you striped it to **** then you are going to have to get some tin snips and try to cut the heat shield of. you might be able to get at it from the bottom. or if you can just bend it back so that you have enough room to get the 4 bolts from the header. and becareful the right side corner one is a pain make shure you get the socket in ther right or you might end up striping it.

no you do not need that bolt, if you pop it off you'll be alright. The rest of the install is easy, that should be your only trouble spot
