Angry removing center console in 03 EX

im trying to remove the center console or whatever i have to to get to the the place behind the cigarette lighter. i know theres a few DIYs on it, but none of them show the type of dash my car has, 03 4dr EX 5 speed, complete with big dorky arm rest with cover, front cup holders that have a cover on them too, and i have been at it for 2-3 hours now and it will not come off for me. can anyone help me please please please????? i have 3 screw from the inside of the armrest out, i have 4 screws from near the rear cup holders out, i have the 2 plastic clips way up front out, i have the little ebrake cover that pops off out, ive been yanking and prying and searching for more screws.... and nothing... can anyone please help me?

lol there are 2 screws near the end closest to the back seats. There's one screw on each side.

Flip and slide both front seats forward. Youshould now be able to see the end of teh console and also a screw (there one on the other side as well).

hey, I didn't want you to get nothing accomplished tonight, so here's the diagram of your car's console from www.hondaautomotiveparts.com

you can order just about every part in your car, if you ever need to. god forbid you break your side view mirror somehow, you can order and replace your broken mirror with an identical genuine HONDA part. Replacing a part is better than the best repair any shop can do.

anyways. here's the diagram:

**just another note.

you didn't mention earlier that you took the shift boot off. Unscrew the ****, and pull off the shift boot and its surrounding panel. I believe there are two more (see part # 30 in diagram) screws underneath, that screw onto a silver bar (part #20?) that is bolted onto the car frame.

I think you may have hinted at it, but make sure you also take of the plastic horseshoe piece that wraps around the cigarette lighter panel and attaches to both sides of the center console (it gives the center console and the lower part of the dash, a perfect fit and connected look). It's only clipped on, but becareful because it's plastic and it whitens if it get pressured.

I'm not sure, but I believe the cigarette panel is part of the lower dash (just like in 2001 and 2002 models), not the center console. the horseshoe piece keeps the center console and the lower dash together and it looks so smooth.

Pop off the ring around the shift ****. Once that's done, open the cup holder cover and carefull grab the top of the trim piece and pull up. It's held in by clips so it should just pop off. After that's off, there are a bunch of screws, 6 if my memory serves me correct. Just unscrew them and the whole centre console should start coming apart.

If you need pictures or more info... PM me and I'll see if I can take some pics. Maybe I'll do a DIY.

with 01, 02 models.. there are hiden screws where the transmission is. for you.. inside... where the gear box is. for you.. its pretty much underneath the auto transmission.
'cause i have manual.. but it should be the same.
you have to yank out the part where your parking brake is.
well, at least this is what's done in my 02 model.
there are two screws hiden in there.....
