Quick survey for LEO's
This question is for everyone thats married/going to be married and works in law enforcement OR those who would like to comment...
If you're anti law enforcement than spew your dislike and crappy insults somewhere else.
QUESTION: Do you wear your wedding ring while on duty?
My fiance and I have opposing views in this. I say NO simply for the protection of my family from a-hole criminals that carry a vandetta.
She says yes because its a symbol of my love...blah blah crappidy crap.
What do you think?

That's a tough one.
Every call I've gone to I wore it - and the really bad ones, well it's sort of something to remind you to fight that much harder - make sure you go home that night.
Yes, there is the issue to protect your family, but you've got to remember... if they want to get at you, they will. They can follow you to the station, wait for you to leave then follow you home. there are officefr safety protocol that you follow... ie. don't wear uniform home or to work.
But many forces give you a car to take home with you, so they know a cop lives there.
...do what i did - wear the kevlar/leather gloves anytime you're dealing with someone!

^^I hear ya.
Someone brought up a good point the other day...the ring could possibly hurt you if you chase someone and it gets caught on a fence, car, etc...all the unexpected places you wouldnt think of...what happens if in the same sitaation you lose it?
Just some more stuff to ponder

Well i'm not in law enforcement myself (just a lowly security guard) but i'd say wear it and then as the guy above said wear those gloves. If a person wants to get you that bad one way or another he's going to find out you have a family. Just my 2 bits though in regards to your question.
