Cop Messed up ticket
Cop Messed up ticket
Aright here's tha skinny i got pulled over last night on a legitiment traffic violation, but we just smoked a fat nug blunt in my whip and tha cop smelled tha stick icky fo sho. I gave him all tha **** and he said he was jus gonna write me a ticket fo possession of less then an oz. of buds, and a parafanilla charge. He wrote tha ticket, and i went on my way w/o my bud so i was pissed. Anyway the ****in wally *** cop didn't write tha right date on the ticket he wrote that it happened on the 6th of Jun 2006, but in fact it was the 9th of Jun 2006 that this all happend. Does this count as a legitiment **** up by him and should my ticket get dropped when i have ta see the judge in a month? Also should i get a lawyer or a ticket fighter ta help me?
what difference would it make? 3 days isnt a big issue compared to having people's name's spelled wrong or wrong addresses.
u can get a lawyer if u can afford one, he or she can reduce charges/fines. but is it really worth it in the long run? a lawyer may cost you up to $500 depending on his or her time needed/used whereas a citation runs about $350 or so depending on violation.

Simple mistake...Im sure he can access a time stamped copy of the incident outlining the date and time of stop, when he requested a report number, etc...
Since its a criminal ticket and not a civil ticket you're going to need more than a typo to get it thrown out.
You should have gotten a DUI-drugs...consider yourself lucky
