wtf amherst cops

so i just gotten off the highway comming from nyc to buffalo, i'm crusing along down the road and I stop at the red light, the light turns green, and he lights me up. i'm like wtf does he want, first thing i did when he pulled me over was turned on interior lights, displayed my badge and id, and both hands on the wheel. He comes and gives me a 57 in 40 mph. I'm like wtf. my nypd badge didnt do **** up here in buffalo, ny. I was like **** it, i was tired as hell driving 8 hours.

so my questions are:

can I go to the court clerk at the court house and have it reduced or voided?
if anything, i'm leaving in a few days and cant attend a court hearing anyway. worse case, pay the ticket (how much) and have a story to tell to my sarge.

Us over here in nyc, we dont even bother with these kinds of crap, we got other stuff to worry about.

Since, I used my dads civic (his name, his address, his insurance), because my civic needed a oil change, does his insurance go up? nothing on the ticket mentions my dad's name or insurance. only thing assioated with him is the lic plate #.

if it helps, my license is clean until now.

thanks in advance

so because you're a cop, you're above the law? cops are people first, then cops. regular people would get a ticket for 17 over the speed limit, why shouldn't you? just wondering

my license was clean until my first ticket, too.

if you can get out of **** that normal people can't just because of your status of profession, thats above the law.

i really do hope you get out of it...really, i don't wish misfortune on anybody. i just think that just cuz you're a cop doesn't mean you should be allowed to speed or not obey laws. buuut.....normal people get out of tickets all the time too...so with that...good luck.

well your a cop, you should know how these cases go and the best way to fight them, better things to do, do yourself a favor and never drive through Warwick RI, they pull you over for not having your plate mounted in the middle of the bumper when it is like a foot or two to the right, and they'll win with improper display of plates

I'm not one to brag, but... It seems like everytime i get pulled over, I'm in my hospital scrubs and just say im late for work and got sick people to attend to. He usually just waves me on out with a verbal warning.

It's pretty sweet. I'm just tooting my own horn..

I'm just gonna pay for it, i'm gonna plea guilty, i'm not staying here long to fight it.. leaving in 3 days.

what my concern is my dad's insurance because he's a retired man, i dont want to raise his insurance tooo much just because i borrowed his car for a road trip.

plus like i said, I wasn't even speeding, i was actually kinda lost.

if that cop ever comes to nyc, i'm gonna go nypd on his amherst ***
