Yellow headlights
My dad made me take of my nokya hyper yellow bulbs b/c him and my bro thinks they are illegal. This really sucks b/c they are great. I know that you can't have red or blue, but idk about yellow??? there are yellow foglights but idk.

in cali, yellow lights are illegal.
they were great but illegal.
direct quote from the cop. "yellow head lights = automatic green light to pull you over"

They are illegal in Canada too. Friend spoke with an officer and showed him the lights and the officer said there are 3 possible tickets for that but he wouldnt give out bs tickets like that.
mine say DOT approved right on the box. who knows if they really are, but I haven't been pulled over for them in the 6+ months of having them and when I was pulled over for speeding, the cop didnt say anything about them.

i have 2 friends that have yellow bulbs and neither have been pulled over im in texas btw so i dont know if their legal or not. yellow fogs ARE legal thou because many mercedes and bmw's even the lexus Is300 came with factory yellow fogs.
well in ontario the Highway Traffic Act says it is legal to have clear and amber bumbs in the front...now what is proper word for running a yellow light..from what i have heard it is running an amber light...therefore amber no longer means orangy-yellow it means yellow..that is my new theory..i call it the peaseians yellow light theory...
btw i have had mine for about 7 months i have driven by many cops and not a thing..however a friend of mine in my city got pulled over for them and the cop never actually gave him a ticket or a warning..he said that he was lucky that he(the cop) had to respond to a high speed chase (even though he never sped away from the scene)

in california it is a really sticky situation because according to vehicle code yellow lights are legal in the front BUT according to the CHP website it says yellow lights are illegal...BUT the vehicle code they refer to doesnt state anything about yellow or blue lights

I was rolling Yellow headlights also for about 4 months and always rolled by cops.(I work til 4am) Until one night a cop pulled me over and let me off with that and 5% tint all around. He let me off because i was very respectful he said. He said the only reason he did pull me over in the first place was bacause it was a very "slow" night... Point is they are illegal in most states but its all a risk how long you can go without getting stopped for them or something else. I switched to Nokya Hyperwhites and will put back in my yellows when spring comes and the days get longer.

Check your local laws though the DOT....if it says something along the lines of "lights being projected from the front of the vehicle can be amber or white or any color between the two"..if it says that than usually you can get away with yellow headlights because of how vague it is....but on the same note, they can justify yellow headlights as being illegal because of that same vagueness just so they can cover so much ground....
its just like how its illegal to operate underglows if the tube is showing but nothing in the law says that they can reflect off of the ground and glow....in this case, the vagueness of the law works in your favor...however, the color of the light still has to be reasonable of course....
