If a few letters are transposed on the summons, you wont get off for that. Is the description of the vehicle correct? What about your name, dob, description etc? If that is correct then dont even bother. As far as the date to appear in court, simple slip, just show up in 2005. Dont not show up and whine about the date etc. They will issue a failure to appear warrant for you. Take responsibility. I assume you are younger if you have alicense restriction that prohibits you from operating after 9 pm.

yea thanks.. but wont these little mistakes count for something..? from the looks of these summons i already had my court date. and my description is right. but the plates still remain wrong.
im not looking to escape because of this.. but wont they be more lenient or something because not all the info is factual..

These are called, for lack of a better term, "ministerial errors" and they do not change the substance of the charges. Erroneously transposing letters or misspelling words are not excuses for ignoring the summons.
There will be unpleasant consequences if you do not show up. In CA, failure to appear, after you signed the promise to do so, will result in a bench warrant. Next time you're stopped you go to jail, your car is towed and you'll have one helluva day or long night. You'll be hundreds of dollars poorer and it'll be telling yourself that it wasn't a bright idea to ignore the summons.
If the date, time, location, description of the area and your car are correct i.e., it's you and not someone else then you ignore the summons at your own peril. And if you got someone else's ticket then that's all the more reasons to show up and defend against it.

You must have posted when I was.
The "little things" if there are enough of them, can be used to argue as examples of sloppy police work and if the report has so many errors in it (product of the officer taking good notes and recalling events accurately) then you could argue that the court shouldn't give much weight to it.
The errors, taken as a whole, need to cast doubt on the value of the report but if letters have been transposed from your plate but the rest of the car info is correct then I belive the court will accept the report as evidence against you. You need enough errors, along with admissions by the officer that he just got it wrong, so that the court agrees that the report doesn't pass the "Smell Test." Minor boo-boos are evidence of sloppiness but do not, IMO, make this a defensible case without other facts attacking the credibility of the officer and his report.

yea i kno thanks. but the copper gave me a "unreasonable speeding" summons when i was goin 30! he told me to plead guilty or he will tell the judge that i was running away from him. this is bs since i stopped. if i ran away why did i stop when his lights went on. o0 yea he was following me for 5 min with his lights off ibncluding headlights
o0 yea n the other po-po kicked my civic rear tire and when i asked him to close my door he kicked it?
what should i do. he gave me 3 summons on 11.26.04
what should i plead for speeding? he didnt have radar or nething.?

Why exactly did you ask him to close your door?
Did he kick it out of aggression?
Any damage? (pics too?)
Did you feel threatened?
Some of these things can help you out in court...
But for traffic violations...I'd say take it like a G and plead guilty, however do bring up the entire situation to the judge...do not ramble....bring your witness to court with you.

if it is really your ticket when you appear in court, just tell the judge the truth. if you were out past kerfew, you could say you were just leaving work or something. I got pulled over one night when i was out past midnight, I was 16 then I was very polite in court, and the judge dismissed it.
You only have to goto court is cout appearance required is checked off. I'd still reccomend going 9/10 fines will be reduced or dropped. Go see the prosecuter and tell him your story, then he'll talk to the cop and chances are things will get dropped/reduced.
