Talking Wrong Name on speeding ticket! What happens?

So... I got pulled over on saturday night. I was doing 49 in a 30 on this wide open huge 2 lane road. Anyhow. I was trying to get home and on the cell phone not paying any attention to how fast i was going. Well the radar dectector worked perfect, it told me right when the cop shot me with his radar, lol! So i pulled off into a neighborhood and the cop followed me so i pulled over and he game me this big long speech about how i was trying to hide from him and i was stupid. Well when it comes to stupid i dont think it was me. My car is registered in mine and my fathers name (he co-signed) and this cop takes my information, questions the girl in my car (my friends girlfriend, and asked her to tell him what MY last name was . . . ). He goes back to his car. He comes back with the citation for going. . . 49 in a 30 (big break there). I signed took it from him and went on my way. I decided to give it a look today and the ticket is in my fathers name! All of my information, except this guy wrote the ticket to my father! WHAT HAPPENS NOW??? I am just wondering becuase im deffinatley taking this one to court!

I did tell him, i want to take it to court though. Its got my license # on it, and my information, and his name. So my case (his case). He wasnt born in 85, he doesnt weigh 145 lbs, thats not his license #, and its certianlly not his signature at the bottom. It sounds like a good arguement to me? Any thooughts?

not really cuz the car is registered in both of ur names........u are better off just paying it.

The judge will just see it as a honest mistake.......u still did commit the crime.

The judge and prosecutor can amend most court paper work to reflect the correct information if a mistake is made. Happens all the time.

usually the only info needed to make the ticket valid is the birthdate, oln (license #) and i think there is something else. often if they screw up the name, and they have everything else correct then your out of luck.
