Help on stupid mistake!
Alright, I was busted for doing something completely stupid. Everyone makes mistakes in their lives and I am aware of this, but I am posting this to get peoples opinions on how bad of sh** I am in. My friend was driving in his car near a place where some of the local street racers meet up at a gas station. A cop pulled us over and we had two open containers and some beer (4) in the car. My friend's car was impounded and the two officers wrote us both tickets and sent us walking home. We are both underage. I am 20. The officer asked me if one of the open containers was mine and I said yes but he did not ask me if I had been drinking or if I was under the influence. The ticket just says open container and at the bottom it says "c.d.h (racers)".
I am just curious what that means. The biggest thing I want to know is what will be my penalty. Will my license be suspended even though I was proven for underage drinking or what?
If anyone has any input on this situation comments are welcome. by the way I live in southern california if it makes a difference depending on area.

i would tell them that you werent intoxicated; the cop didnt even give you a breathalylzer. And that you weren't street racing. I'd take it to court and get that knocked off; there is no reason he put that down except for the area, which has nothing to do with it. That sucks, but yeah, i'd say you're in pretty deep ****.
The ticket was not for driving under the influence, therefore they did not have any legal right to give an alocohol test.
You were not cited for drinking, but for POSSESSING an open container of alcohol.
As for being a street racer, you were at an area that was a meeting place, so under California law you were cited as either going to race or be a participant.
You can be fined about 180 for the open container and up to 1000 for the spectator part. You buddy can have his car kept for 30 days and have to pay huge fines to get it back.
You should have your parents look into getting you a lawyer to help you out. The courts will not be on your side, they have a huge hard on for street racers right now and without a lawyer, you will be entirely at their mercy.

Sorry about your dilemma. Cali sucks in terms of street racers and watchers. I don't know why if the street is closed off and it's just a few people racing. Why would you get in trouble just for being in the area? I guess a pizza boy could get a racing ticket just for driving past the race. Stupid. But at least you didn't get a dui-that's even worse.
