he's getting me the seats, sliders and shipping for $555. he is now unfortunately telling me that if I want the brackets, I'll need to pay another $150 USD. WTF?!?!?!??!!?!!??!

Rep Power: 354 do not get a turbo on your engine, its called "FORCED" induction u are forcing your engine to do what it cant, get a better engine first, a turbo on our cars sucks.

man alot of ppl have turboed their cars....getting like 175 horses to da wheels with like 9 lbs of boost. Thats pretty sick if u ask me....to get a new engine and turbo/supercharger it would be almost over 10 grand....i could sell my car and get something else for dat price!!!

anyways, a turbo isn't the way to go. for about the same price, you can do an engine swap, and have a safe and reliable amount of power.
if you get bored with it...slap a turbo on it!
a turbo on our cars can MAYBE push the car to about 160 hp to the wheels.
this is without doing some majorly intense work.
there are plenty of options, and seeing as you don't have the cash immediately, it's a good idea to thoroughly research them all!

d00d, no way!
our engines can't handle more than 5lbs of boost without running the risk of blowing up.
6 is pretty much the limit, but 5lbs is the safety zone.
as for price, engine swap (complete): $6500CAD
Turbo: $3200 USD + Installation = roughly the same price!
engine swap is a lot safer!
9lbs of boost is WAY too much for our dinky little engines to handle!
well thats what some ppl have been posting in the turbo threads...i was reading a couple...obviously im not gonna be doing anything that major for a looooong loooong *** time cuz i have zero dollars. But i just think it would be sick to have a sleeper turbo car...it would also be sick to have a sleeper rsx type s engine but 6 grand is alot of cash to fork out!!! AHH i need to win the lottery....then we would all have k20's!!! and a jackson racing super
as for all show no go....with that you will get the looks from the idiots that know nothing about cars...and the 12 year old kids...but with a swap or turbo other people will give you respect....thats what i think....personnaly i dont want someone who knows nothing about cars to be like yaah thats sick....i want the average person to look at it and be so what did u do to it. But im kinda contradicting myself cuz i do want the octane!!! hahaha but for me it is definately a balance between style speed and handling

But seriously, Baller: a swap will run you the same amount of money as a turbo.
But, the integra swap will give you a way more reliable source of power. You won't have to worry about all of the gory details of a turbo's problems (detonation, fuel balance, etc)...
Talk to the guy who owns "Stafford Fabrications" (Catalyst has a turbo from him)...they say to not run any higher than 5lbs, and there's a good reason for it!
Catalyst ran at 6lbs and made 165horsies to the wheels. not bad, but for the same price you can have an engine swap, and be gauranteed that power all the time...you won't have to fiddle with the boost pressure!
plus, with the basic bolt-ons, the type-s can run over 200whp easily!

yup, I dreamt about the turbo route for about a year now. then I kept on researching as the possibility of it became quite real.
but....I found out about the many perils of a turbo setup
one other major thing to consider: if you have a turbo with front wheel drive, you get crazy torque steering. not a fun thing to control!
at least with a smooth engine setup, the powerband is a nice linear curve vs. this spastic logarithmic curve of a turbo.
d00d, seriously, beating a five-o is what it's all about!!!!!!
as I've said before...mustangs are the bane of my existence!!!!

YESSS!!! thanks my dawwwgggsss!!!! **** all i need il like 6000 more and ill be ready!!!! hahaha...yah a turbo would be sick but too hig maintenace....a swap would be maaad rediculous....imagin how fast they would be...if i could pull up to a mustang and beat him i would probably pee myself in joy....id need new seats but it would be worth it!!! i hate them soo much....the funny thing is we could all sell our civics and get old as 5 litres!!! hahaha that would be funyy....our cars are worth more!!!
