help guys! anyone?!
hi! i really need some help with regards to my car...i just bougth an '02 civic....ok ok ok....its just an LX (4dr)...i know, not a v-tech and its slow...i dont wanna touch the engine for modification, its still under warranty...(if it doesnt make sense, i dont know what im talking about) 
.....i really need some help in exterior mod...im looking for a good exhaust system without compromising my budget? and can you guys please show me a picture of it...and can you recomend a non-rip-off performance shop....appriciate it....thanks....

so you don't wana touch the engine, but you wana change the exhaust? alright... anyways, if you don't wana make a big dent in your wallet with an exhaust system, i'd recomend going the "custom" method. You should ask Si2NV about his custom downpipe. Sounds real good, and wasn't as expensive as a DC Sport or APEX-i exhausts.

for the exhaust... i probably wouldn't go for ractive, cause they're a bit cheep... i'm not the best one to be talking to about this though... others would know best... but like i said, there's a guy on here (Si2NV) who has a custom downpipe and after market muffler. That's probably the best bet for the least amount of money i believe!
I know a few people on here like KVR but i have no idea where that is... just look at the "Ottawa Shops" thread in the Ottawa sub forum, it's should be somewhere at the top!
as for the grill, check out www.ebay.ca that's where i buy most of my stuff!

In regards to your question, I got full 2 and a quarter exhaust done with a skunk 2 muffler all you gotta do is buy a muffler brand that suits to your style and sound...if you go to KVR (near Cyrville rd.) and talk to Graham he should find something nice for you...my advice is stay away from the mufflers that literally sound like *** (don't go to CT and buy one from the Fast and Furious Isle)
I got my full exhaust system done at Dan's Muffler and Brake Shop LTD...this guy was born to make custom exhaust systems and is one of the best in the province...and if you decide to go tell them Pierre or Andrew with the gold Honda sent you...anyways check it out:

ok let me explain exhaust to you a bit.
an exhaust system is a apipe that goes from your engine, to the back of the car, and releases the waste gases produced in your engine. first these is something called a header, that connects your 4 cylinders into one pipe and then connects to the exhaust pipe. this is what an exhaust system is
a down pipe. this is a pipe which is bent at about a 90 degree angle, it goes from your engine bay to the bottom of your car.
a Cat, this is connected to your down pipe and is used to reduce polutents.
exhaust pipe to the axcel.
another pipe from your axcel to your muffler.
a muffler that changes that sound of your exhaust and provides a hole for the gases to escape. so in summer

this is what it looks like.
now when u buy an exhaust system. the biggest kind is what is called a cat back exhasu. what this is is changed all the pipes from the cat to the end of the car. You can also buy an axcel back. which is the pipes from the axcel to the back. Or just a muffler and weld it on your stock pipes.
the purpose of an aftermarket exhaust, other then sound, so to make the pipes bigger as to give the engine more room to breath which transaltes into more power. but because our engines are so weak, u wont gain much power.
what SI2NV did, is a custom exhaust. he got a mechanic to weld him a set of pipes, streight from the exhaust to his muffler. it sound very nice and loud and is cheaper then buying a name brand.
now your options in the catback world range from. Tanabe, Apexi, WWS.......... there are many others, check out the parts section of this site to see more, they range from arounf 400 CDN and up. HKS Makes axcel backs for our cars. and you can purchase any generic muffler out there and just weld it on ( a mechanic will do the welding for like 50 bucks or less).

Rep Power: 564 Apex-i World Sport II is the exaust for you. I used to have one...so quiet it's beautiful. I had a DC Sport TCS as well before that....also very quiet but not quite as much as the World Sport

as for my exhaust I still have stock cat and headers... but I'll be changing that in the new year

Exaust systems are pretty chillin, but dont expect any gains at all. They are good to have as a piece of a much bigger expensive modding puzzle. Thats My opinion. As for quality I personally have a mix and matched exhaust set-up with a HP mid section, a fireball style axle back and random tech downpipe and cat. Id say get something nice a clean. AS for exterior mods keep everything as clean as possible. If you want to see My 01 civic sedan just check out my members rides pictures!
Cleared headlights can be done for free, and im sure plenty of people will be willing to help yah out!
