Hey,
I'm lowered now. I'm not really that low, but my tires still rub if I nail a good dip, or if I have passengers in the rear. I think it has to do with the offset of my rims and stuff. Anyway, I think it would help if I got my fenders rolled.
Any info/sources for this??

^Julian I gotta get my fenders rolled too! maybe we can both get together and do it up! We can get Landin to help us seeing as he did his own himself. He did a pretty awsome job of doing it too...looks great!

Mike;
I'm on KW's
I got them installed last weekend, put my Neuspeed x-brace on this morning, put new (sorta new) tires on, and fixed some exhaust problems. I'm getting ready for Sat night when you and I race at Luskeville
J/K But I do want to go to the X-cross on Sunday.
Landin;
You did your own fenders? I would like some info/help with that dude! I was thinking about doing my own, but I was a little nervous about trashing them.

julian: yah i did em up myself. The thing is i had to paint over where i did ito seal some minor cracking on the actual lip thingy. Not the outside, but just the lip. I think its possible to do it with a heat gun so the paint heats up and stuff, but i didnt wanna melt the paint or clearcoat, so i just painted the inside after with oem matched honda paint, and u cant even tell. All i did was used a baseball bat and jacked the car up enuf so the bat is a tight fit between the tire and fender...then just rolled the bat back and forth...then lowered the car more on the jack and did more etc,etc... It ttok me about 45 minutes a side, but i took my time so i wouldnt crack or deform my quarter panel. I just bought a paint gun for my air compressor, so if u can provide paint i could even do a touch up of the fender for you with oem quality and such. Id offer to do it for you, but if i screw up i would be liable. I can guide you and help you do it sometime at my place if you like....sunday skiboard is comming over to do the springs, so we can doo everything all at one time if u want. Let me know
Landin just to let you know..when you are working on someones car at no time are you liable. You are helping them out so they don't have to pay alot of money going to a garage. If you break or damage something it is the owners responsibility not yours.
^not in court tho! im not saying u guys would sue me, but in reality if i broke something and u really got pissed you would win in court! I mean ill do it no problem, but its a touchy think to do cuz it could be very costly thing to fix if the fender get's warped.
Yes, it's an Acura EL

Landin's right, if you're working on someone's car, money or no money, you'd be hard pressed to prove you weren't liable for damage if you were the one holding the wrench. If the work is big and bad and scary, then get the guy to sign something. Otherwise, just make sure you can fix it if it goes bad, or can afford to replace it.
^yep yep! its not that big of a deal, but to me i dont worry about doing it on my car, cuz if i screw up its my own fault, but i would feel so bad if i screwed someone elses car up. Ill do it tho, cuz its not that hard, and honestly once i show the person how i did it, they can do it themselves! Its all about patience!
lol that would be funny if you break something and we go to court together
jk
yeah when someone is helping on working on my car I am taking that risk that it might go wrong and take all responsibility. I think everybody does and that's how this whole group thing works, trusting and helping eachother

See I might be wrong on this (I think I have been wrong once before, not to sure
) But because we took it to someone who was not licenced and knew that, that they are not responsible. So lets say that Julian got you to do his fender. he knows that your not licenced to do that. Knows that you have done it once and it worked. he also knows that there is a possibility that you can mess up. So he goes into it knowing you can mess up. There taking the responsibility. You are not licenced, everyone knows that. i thought it would be different if you said you were licenced but ended up not. I guess thats why i hate working on other peoples cars. i would feel bad if I broke something. I am not arguing just stating the impression I was given.
So Ummmm Abe wanna sign something stating that the 2J's are not responsible for your springs
