Abe (I think it was you),
You were talking about YellowTop batteries. Any idea where I can get these in Ottawa?

redtop retains a memory such as NiMH or NiCad. yeallow top is marine type that has a bigger charge and has no memory such as lithium ion. if interested i can get them brand new red for 75+shipping, or yellow for 100+shipping.

ok, these are optima batteries, they are one of the best on the market, u have a choice of yellow top, red top, and blue top.
the yellow top is deep cycle, meaning u will always have a steady hgh flow of current, which is what u need for bass and such
http://www.optimabatteries.com/produ...ycle/index.asp
The red top is an excellent started battery, meaning even if u have a high load on your battery, it will still start your car perfectly everytime
http://www.optimabatteries.com/produ...rter/index.asp
The blue top is made for harsh conditions like marine equipment, u might consider bass shacking harsh for the batteries, but i dont think u need one of these
http://www.optimabatteries.com/produ...rine/index.asp
So i think the best thing for you to do it is to kee your stock battery, and add another yellow top, possible in the trunk, u can get kits for placing a battery in the trunk.
as for where, i am pretty sure canadian tire has them, but you could check parts source, and see what it wll cost ya.

Yellow top is great as a starting battery (better than stock), and even better if you have a system. I have one and it's great. Didn't like the yellow, so I just painted it black

group 51 yellow top is the name of the battery. If you look at the stock battery, it will say group 51 on it. That's just a size designation.
