the neuspeed strut bar u can get pretty much anywhere, don't pay more then $200 for it though, cisco88 has a used polished upper strut bar for sale. can't remember what he wants though. he also has a aem CAI. if your looking for kits and stuff, i'm the guy to talk too. teinSS, mrwong is buying them, u should talk to him about it. btw, all these ppl are from edmonton. are u from red deer or something? don't think we're met at the meets before.

Tien SS I am not sure where you can get those in Calgary for a decent price but there are only two authorized Tien dealers in Edmonton and both place run about 1500 to 1700 for the SS series.
I bought my neuspeed from dezod motorsports off this site back in November, I forgot what the price is, I think I got it for $160. Ebay is a good place to look for that item as well, I seen it run for $80 US. Given our high rate of exchange this is a good time to get it.
I am also looking at a spoon suspension, this suspension is for the EP3 hatch, but it will bolt on with no problems. The spoon suspension is a non-coilover, which imo works better for myself since I do not plan on raising the ride height.

One other item, if you are doing suspension modifications. Don't go the cheap easy route, try to spend more on the setup that way you car will handle better than the stock suspension. Other wise what is the use of upgrading it. Since you are looking at the SS series you are looking in the right direction.

It sucks that one of the only options for aftermarket sturts is konis which are hella expensive. I already have a CAI but how much for the strut bar? I want to get the progress front and rear sway bars too but those will take a hit out of my wallet for sure. No ones answered my question of if the EP3 hatch suspension bolts up with no modification?????

Ep3 suspensions will bolt on with no modifications , I am looking at a Spoon Sports suspension right now which is for the EP3 and it will fit the Coupe or Sedan. That is a expensive unit though more than the Tiens, but for what I hope to do, it might be worth it.

If you want a guarenteed fit your best choice is the Tien basic series, they are your best bang.

Search the suspension forum on this site they will offer more advice.

Jae, If you get springs without new shocks your stock shocks will wear out pretty quick.

i say after 1yr it will wear out depending on the drop. no stock shocks should wear out if the drop is less then 2" in less the 1 yr, i know someone whose been dropped 2.25" on his integra with stock shocks for 2 yrs...

^but the EP3's suspension can't be compared to the teg's. The Civic is a value car, and with the 7thgen Honda went cheap with the current setup. The teg was built to handle, explaining why it has a beefer suspension setup. Geez, anything from a 4 to 6 gen Civic has a better suspension setup.

After 4 mos. of lowering my car I noticed a harsher ride, plus every little bump becomes a big bump. Also, remember when you do drop your car that your gonna need to purchase a camber kit NO MATTER WHAT! I don't care what anyone sez, but do it all at once. You probably don't need a front kit, but the rear kit is essential to normal tire wear. As well, if everthing is perfectly balanced, the car should ride better than if your taking short cuts.

Renny is probably going the right route with going to a full coilover setup, but it is gonna be costly. He's gonna spend about $1500-2000 BEFORE installation on suspension, and he is still gonna ride on stock tires.

Remember guys that it all boils down to what makes contact to the ground, and rubber is essential to better handling. You can have a stock car with Z-rated tires, and that will out handle a sleeper with Q-rated tires. The sleeper would have to have a skilled driver(Drifter) to be able to control the car at high speeds.

Make sure that dropping money on your car makes sense, because if its your daily driver remember the type of the weather we live in. Now you guys know why I dropped my Vic and got the Audi (x2, I bought my dad one in Vancouver so that I could use it as a tax write off, and that means no TSX for me ), I spent $24000 buying my Civic, and was dropping about $150-200 a month average on mods and repairs. Thats about $2000 a year extra, and remember you don't get the same value out of it if you want to sell it. I'd rather spend my money in my company now, then reap the rewards later in life. I guess you can say there is life after modding, and it saves you lots of money.

Wow....sorry boys about the rant....its been a LONG night....

I know spending money on cars is a waste of money. Just look at the value of civics these days. Its not even worth selling them anymore. I know about tires thats why I'm going to be gettin new ones in the spring(that and becasue my old ones are done). I don't plan on driving my car in the winter after i lower it. Spending money on mods is just like anything in life, you get what you pay for. If you buy cheap **** its not going to last and your eventually goin to pay the price. I've always had that philosophy with parts. Plus you want things to be reliable so spending that little bit extra can give you some piece of mind. whatever though enough said.

My stock tires are gone, I am also in the midst of picking out new tires for the autocross season.....

Fyi, for those who do not know the firestones are garbage. I am looking at some yokohamas and falkens right now, but I will probally go with the falken azenis cuz pe has a good deal happening right now.

Camber kits are only useful if you drop 2 inches or lower, besides you do not have to spend money on a camber kit. You can make your own with a few heavy duty washers.

Renny, my drop was only 1.5", and I had some serious camber issues in the rear with the degree of camber being off about 20 deg. When I took of my rims before the trade in, the inner part of the tire was completely worn. Yes, you can get away with it, but I would consider that a short cut.

Spend $200 on a camber kit, or about $500 on new rubber every year? The camber kit is a once only purchase, and that will gurantee you the biggest contact patch with the ground.

You can make a camber kit using washers and a very small bar...why spend $200 when u don't have to.

Boo, try DC5AB.com those guys always are selling those.

Will, I do not know how to make them, but I do know someone who does. I was asking him about camber kits, he told me that you can make your own using washers. All a camber kit does is it keeps your tires even so it is not at a slant eg when you lower your car your tires will move either \\ or // a camber kit will keep your tires ||. Like kit said it will give your tires even contact, he is right about having a camber kit with any drop height. But it is a absolute if you lower more than 2 inches, 1.5 not really neccessary but nice. 1.75 inches is recommended.

can u install camber kits with springs only? or is it a MUST to have shocks too? cause i think i'm gonna buy the koni's 3 months after the springs are installed, just to save up a little money i guess.

Anytime your car lowered a camber is required, unless otherwise stated, it does not matter if you have stock shocks or aftermarket.
