Agreed he has been there to answer every question with a valid professional response and wehn your dealing with this am,ount of cash(nay amount for that matter) customer service and knowlegde is a big thing. PLus the fact that it seems very dependable for a daily driver but again i want to see some test results and dyno numbers (HINT ) Sf has some goos numbers but ima wait and see how the TD extreme kit goes.

Whats the exhaust manifold made out of. I hear that mild steel is prone to cracking, stainless steel will eventually crack, and if its made from cast iron it will prolly never crack. Please tell me its made of cast iron.

It's a high nickel composite cast - warrantied for 5 years if you keep it at or under 7 psi

so if i do some internal work which i plan on, such as pistons, rods, intake manifold etc. whoch would allow the car to safely run a higher level boost i still need to keep it under 7 psi to keep warranty?

from the sound of it we loose warranty, that sux! The whole reason i was going with a realiable trubo kit was to start easy till my internals are up to par to run a higher PSI

Check out the GB for the turbo kit. GB Thread. TrboDiscounters mentions that they do not do installations. He also explains why they don't. It's mentioned towards the bottom of the 3rd page of the thread. Just wanted to let you know because NorrinRadd asked the same question in that thread.

I want to clear something up, Cast iron manifolds do crack. Working at a muffler shop, i have seen my share of cracked manifolds. The high nickel composition of the TD manifolds will help keep it from cracking. And the mild steel ones will crack if they arent supported right, and if the walls are too thin. The SFpower kit is .200" thick, and it will take a lot to make it crack.

I believe both manifolds will hold up for quite a while.

thanks that sets some worries at ease the one thing buggin me right now is his warranty. Not allowing us to go over 7psi with internals done or exhaust manifold warranty is gone.

No, you'll be fine.

I just posted this in another thread:

Even before the warranty FAQ went up on the website I knew I would get slack about it. So I've been fighting to get it changed. The FAQ at TurboDiscounters.com has been changed. There is no longer a 7 psi limit.

No. Actually, the show car pipes are just polished, that's how we sell them, but they aren't chromed.

wow, $3000+ (including install) so you can beat an rsx?! Just go nitrous if you want to beat someone. If you want power you can always enjoy, than turbo is the way to go. I wish I had enough for turbo, but N2O is what I have to stick with.

Polishing looks nice on the pipes. too bad they arent aluminum........ polished aluminum is waaaayyyyy better than chrome.

I am almost sold...

Turbo Discounters, sorry about asking so many questions. Thanks for your very detailed replies/answers, very much appreciated Also, let me apologize as I will be posting this same question in a few other threads as I don't know which ones you check frequently. I really want this final question answered as it is the last one to convince me to get your Turbo Kit. Ok, here's my question...

What is the expected life expectancy of the Garrett T25BB turbo given the following info?

1) Car driven/pushed moderately.

2) Engine never pushed beyond redline (also no power-shifting), basically always shiting a few hundred rpm's below redline. If pushed, only done so when outside temp is less than 85 degrees.

3) Car driving environment = high heat (105+ degrees)

4) Avg. per day car mileage = 100 miles

I know, not the best turbo climate situation, but I spend a lot of time in either Cali, Nevada, or AZ (half of the year I'm in AZ and Nevada the other half in Cali). I like the fact that the T25BB will have less lag than a T3, but I'm worried that it will still run rather hot in the higher rpms vs. a T3, thus a shortened lifespan. Especially since half the year I'm in states where temps are well over 100 degrees. I know the ballbearing increases durability, but given my situation what do you think the life expectancy of this turbo will be for me? I don't want to invest this much money in something that could very well last me very little (i.e., less than 50,000 miles). It would be great if it lasted the whole life of my car provided I don't push it too often (especially during hot weather), well thanks in advance. btw good job on your kit, I really like all the parts, especially the fuel system and lcd (very nice) I just hope I can get it and that my situation doesn't mean forget it, I'll never qualify for turbo.

Turbo Discounters, shoot almost forgot to ask. Will your kit pass emissions (not visual, but actual smog test)?
