Ok I know there is probably a thread somewhere about this but I am unable to pull. My question is since I am doing a k24a4 swap pretty soon, will I be able to bar this engine within california? Because this motor is from an accord and also element but understand your not able to swap a "mini SUV" motor into our chassis and try to bar? How would this affect me? Any info will be greatly appreciated

I'd say to ask a BAR official or referee, or check out the BAR and CARB websites rules and regulations for your state.

Maybe....Engine must be same age or newer than the car you put it in? Whatever you do, it will be tested as the newest part? Like you put an 05 Accord engine in an 01 civic, it will be emission tested as an 05 Accord?

Check your local regulations and officials for the correct answers.

Might be a nightmare for the next owner if you don't document the whole process.

Just to help your case, the K24 isn't only found in the CRV/Element. It's also found in the Acura TSX (and, if you don't know, it's also known around the world as the Euro Accord)

Ya I checked with the official and ref said as long as I get all the emmision the k24a4 will be compatible with my 03 chassis. Stay tuned for update guys and thanks for the replies

Reusing my pistons they are still in good condition and slightly scored on skirts nothing heavy. Was heavy In carbon build up. Now it's almost silver with the help of purple cleaner powerr

Alright guys just finished setting in my piston rings into the block. Then it's going to go together real soon.
Next step is getting a rsx or a3 transmission mayby if anything this upcoming week. jsut found out that i cant use stock ecu with my k24 tho in em2 =( need k pro
