Hello guys,

I'm pretty new to this forum. Lately I have problem with my civic 2001 model SI and want to replace my engine.

It's an original engine from Honda NA (yes, I got it since 2001, no mod except AEM V02 air intake). First, what is the code of my Civic SI 01 NA engine? I see all kind of code and was wondering which one correspond to mine.

Then, can you guys post some useful info I should know if I want to replace my engine? Like which year of civic engine will fit in? Engine code? Average price if i do it in a garage? Etc.

Thanks for the help ezone. I found a 2005 civic SI NA engine. You think it will fit ? I didn't check the code yet but will it be different if its a 2005 SI model engine ?

is yours Canada or US?
Canada the Si is the same as an EX in US.

A Si in US will have a completely different engine than the Si in Canada

then check both engine codes.
they should be D17A2, unless the 2005 Si was imported to Canada and it's an actual US Si - they will be K20 then and won't fit without modification. if the 2005 Si engine is an canadian, should be same code.
