The support tool program recognized the eManage when I went power on. Car started up great, all my indications on the laptop looked great, pulled up the graphs for all parameters and went for a drive.

After a few nervous minutes of hoping my motor wouldnt explode, I decided everything was running safely and started to roll on the throttle. Thats when I noticed a significantly less amount of power from 4k-6k. On the interstate, the damn car would barely make it into 4th gear, almost like it was choking or something...

I thought VTEC was working, because the eManage AUX output signal was indicating HIGH every time I hit the VTEC enable rpm threshold. Either something was seriously wrong with everything else, or VTEC was not engaging, even though the solenoid was getting power.
Thats exactly what I'm going through...and my name's also Brian haha. I didn't know what was causing it even though the graph on the emanage shows the high output. I might have to try civic-driver's recommendation by testing the voltage direct.
But as emjay says, he HAS vtec W/O the primary o2. So that prooves that losing the 02 does not either put you in limp mode OR the limp mode does not mean you lose vtec.
I'm going to reconnect all my vtec circuits back to the ecu and go from there and see if I get to open up my 4000k-redline band.

Any luck getting to use all the valves? If the eManage brain starts flashing code 14 at you (error in VTEC signal input or output, one long, 4 short red lights), ive been dealing with this for a few months now. I tried shifting the VTEC enable jumpers around, but this did nothing, do ive got the jumpers set up the way Dezod recommended. Let me know how it turns out.

Ok, guys, I put the vtec wires back into the ECU, ignoring the emanage altogther. And there is vtec. The power is there mid-end rpm range.

That proves, either there is NO limp mode w/o the primary sensor or, there IS vtec in limp mode. Thanks for all the input everyone.

i have a question for all of u to answer ... did any of u with piggyback units see that by unplugging ur o2 sensor it made the afrs more steady?? i noticed that say there is less moving and its afrs are more steady without my O2 sensor .. but when it is plugged, the afrs are always trying to correct each other so i get some fluctuation

haha, oh man good stuff. I have to admit though, I thought knight rider was the **** back in the day. I'd get one of them big wardrobe moving boxes and cut windows in it, then draw a bunch of dials n crap all over the place. Lol, playing in cardboard boxes ftw. All I ever wanted was a car with a bunch of gauges and buttons Gauges and buttons = wtq fer sheezie
