ive tried aem, K&N, and weapon-r secret weapon and i gotta say the last one beats em all. had it two years now, has a little gain but i kept it mostly for the sound and better filtration
. but if you want something that will fit without much hassle, get a K&N and just swap out the filter. the major difference will be what they sound like not how much extra power (maybe 2hp) they give.

I have the AEM with the dry flow filter.
Just like gearbox said, you will not get any real gains out of an intake. They are mainly for cleaning up the engine bay and creating more sound and a little bling factor.

On this topic, I saw you guys suggest the AEM with a different filter. How about Injen? Any quality difference between AEM or Injen?

Re: Whats the best air intake kit to get or are they a much of a muchness?

actually aem uses good filters now, they threw away all their cotton gauze cause oem warranty would be voided using em. now they have paper cone filter called "dryflow" that is bundled with all their intake. idk, aem had alot of issues with the support bracket snapping off and leaving a hole in the pipe. K&N really has the best intake design and fitment, but their filters are garbage. but you can always buy the dryflow filter thats what my bro did for his rsx with typhoon intake.

i got my secret intake from a member here, but racinglab.com and weaponspeed.com also carry them

Nice one i'll have a look on the site now. Do you know anything about the weapon-r kit? Looks pretty nice and prob sounds gd but is it worth the £100 price tag? Will it make much difference to the power?

Cheers,

Listen, get the weapon-r. From the time you open the package to having it on the car is only like 5-10 minutes...its easy to install. When you hear it you will think it is worth it.

I have a 2002 LX Sedan. It sounds awsome. I remember feeling a bit more pull on it. If you dyno'd it, it would be less than 10 HP I am sure of that. I like it alot. Gearbox has pictures up of it on his car installed still I beleive.

i love the sound, its alot quieter but deeper sounding too when you get on it. not annoying like aem and kn. filter design is the best and flows more/filters better than the rest. idk about hp, prolly not much but at least it doesnt feel like you lose power. low end response seems good to me.
