K24 Swap Question...

K24 Swap Question...

i was wondering, ,i found sum1 selling a k24a1 /w a tsx head and type s cams... its a long block so, will a type s 6-speed tranny bolt up? i assume so.... also, ,will i need the k ecu or do i ahve to use aftermarket engine management? im just starting to look into the swap thing as an option, i tried doing some research but most of the topics i found about this were a question and then 5 pages of falmming him for asking.... im at work so i cant really spend hours searching and i need to know soon... tks guys appreciate the help...

6 speed will bolt up and you will need kpro

there's a diy on this, but short answer is. Any k series tranny will bolt up. You can use the stock k series ecu or a kpro. if you use stock ecu you need to reprogram your key to match the ecu or you cant bypass immobilizer.

Kpro = get more power out and bypasses immobilzer.

You are better off using KPRO because a stock ECU would not run this motor properly because the head has been changed.
