Sick of High Impedence Injector options?
We have recently started using the AEM Peak & Hold Injector driver box on several applications, and it has been working flawlessly. With this unit we are able to switch ANY high impedence car to drive low impedence injectors with no other mods than this box. Figured I would share, especially since the injector options in high impedence come small and expensive after 550cc.
We have these in stock too!

i know this might sound dumb but, what does all that mean? If u can explain it or point me out sumwhere i can read about it thatd be great. High impedence and low impedence and all that good stuff... thanks!
Re: Sick of High Impedence Injector options?
Yeah my only question is, how much is the driver?? Nobody here is probably going to need more than 750cc injectors and they are only about $400. If you get a set of peak and holds for $100 and the box is like $300 as is the other injector drivers they sell, how is it worth it. Not to mention having to spend a half a morning chopping up your wiring harness. The peak and hold injectors I used with a resistor box idled like ****, even through my EMS. I'd expect this box would be able to correct situations like that?? Cool to post up for us to see but I dont thoroughly understand all the benefits. Not trying to flame, maybe Im just not seeing something here.

I personally am in the mix of switching my car into low impedence injectors for the turbo set-up I am making now. Why? For the same reasons above!
The idle issue I have seen if you hacked an old CRX resistor box into the car. However, on several new platforms when using this box, and the EMS, I have had 0 problems with idle. And if you do have them, the AEM has about 15 tables alone effecting idle, which can easily correct this issue.
In all, this post was merely informing the masses that there are even more options out there for those that want to push the envelope EVEN further. Back in 2001, we never thought these cars would EVER see the likes of 300+whp and now we have several members over that mark. Give it time, and you will see 400+. I can guarantee that without a shadow of a doubt.
The impedence of the injector is the electrical resistence of it.
Re: Sick of High Impedence Injector options?
Fair enough. I just think that the general population of this site might think that this is like a must-have kinda thing. Its really only going to be beneficial for someone making well over the 400 mark as far as cost effectiveness goes. I did have an old Honda resistor box on there, not exactly the best solution but it got me by.
Re: Sick of High Impedence Injector options?
This isn't needed for high impedance 750cc injectors. Its only needed if you are running peak and hold injectors. You can get 750's in high impedance, that's what I'm running....
