ex head swap problem
Everything went fine except when we go to fire it up it starts then dies.... look down gas is leaking. Pulled the fuel rail out and the rubbers peices on 2 of the injectors are basically toasted. So is this the reason why the car wont stay going? because of a gas leak or could there be another reason\?

Re: ex head swap problem
no seal is also gonna create a vacuum leak... and that can **** the car off enough to make it stall.

Re: ex head swap problem
what do you think a dealership would charge to get this thing fixed? im just worried if i get the injectors fixed.. take it home and have it still stall etc. At least they would know what to do.

No1 ever pays someone else to put their condom on for them. Go to honda and get some new rubber seals for the injectors, should solve the problem.

So honda fixed the problem, had to order in all the injector seals (8), reset the timing..reset the valve timing etc you get it. Quite the ordeal but now she runs better than ever i think.

Re: ex head swap problem
lol, order injector seals. i bet i have atleast 10000 injector o-rings. if i dont use them out of the top end kits at work, i throw them in a box for a rainy day. they probably didnt touch timing or valve adjustment. what did it end up costing you? i cant believe you took your car to a dealer over a gas leak and you even knew where the leak was. anytime you install an o-ring, even cam and crank seals, or seal for that matter, a slight touch of wheel bearing grease will help it slide on without damaging it.
Re: ex head swap problem
if your afraid of messing up simple seals, why are you attempting head work?
