Yea after a while spending money isnt fun anymore, haha. The coolness wears off and its just another dent in the wallet like paying the utilities. When it starts to feel like a kick in the nuts, its time to sell it,hehe.

Nah.... I'm not gonna sell it, I just got done building it. I've just gotten hit with a lot of unexpecteds of late... the new exhaust, a BOV on the car is brand new as it is, 2 new sets of brakes since the first set didnt show up in time for the track, new tires, etc.... its just piling up. It'll settle down and I'll survive.
We'll see how it goes. If I keep having problems on the track with it, then I'll pick up a track ***** or something... I've got too much into this one to let it go.

oh definetely. I wasnt suggesting sellin it, hehe. You pretty much have the whole deal going for ya right now. Once you are back on track maintainance should be minimal.

Well.... at least the turbo gods want this thing running again. Progress is slow, but positive. I drained out the oil and found nothing in it but oil... that tends to be good. The grenading seems to have taken place completely outside of the CHRA, leaving the motor completely safe.... which is very good.
The bad news is I still have no turbo, its allegedly coming thursday, and I'm leaving for Michigan this weekend.... nothing like pulling it all together at the last minute.

Re: Well, this sums up my weekend pretty well...
Read the whole thread.... its already been figured out.
Rockin an interfooler right now. Stock exhaust mani and DP is back on, so I can run around getting **** welded and what not. All I need is plugs for the oil lines (thursday) and its drivable again. Should be force fed again on saturday.... and I cant wait. The only thing that sucks more than a stock motor is a built turbo motor without a turbo to push it.... its like an out of shape hamster.

Re: Well, this sums up my weekend pretty well...
Oh sweet. Last time I was there, I was the only 7th gen that showed up.
Its gonna be a race to the finish, but the car should be done on saturday.
There's a thread in AX/RR on HT, some spots are flying around for sale, and there's another thread on ef-honda.com in the events section where some spots are flying around. If still interested in driving, make sure the car is ready to track, then post that you're lookin for one.

Well, look what I finally got

The compressor housing is having an elbow welded on, and I'm back in business. Just in time for the buzzer.

Nice. What's even better is that you have a vise in your closet too! Be glad to see it back together - you probably more so than me.

Re: Well, this sums up my weekend pretty well...
This just in from my parent's garage....
I GOT BOOST!!!!
.....again.
The drive out here sucked.... the car was loaded down with all sorts of junk I brought, has maybe 100 HP, and then I tried climbing the Apalachians.... yeah, that wasn't gonna happen. Climbed some of them at 4500 rpms in 4th just to keep the speed constant.... yet still managed to pull off 30mpg. Hit the flatness..... 35mpg. Now that I got boost..... uh yeah... I could probably get some good milage out of it, but why would I?
