d17 cam gear question
im in the middle of a head swap i was wondering if the non vtec came gear works on the d17a2 cam? or if there the same or what??

I'm not sure, but this is what you can do:
Call Honda Part and verify if a1 and a2 camgear have same part#, if they're the same then you get your answer.
Same you can do by contacting AEM and see if theit aftermarket cam gears have same part #.

Rep Power: 0 If thats the case you are also saying the crower cam made for an EX will fit an LX. I have been wanting to get the stage 2 turbo cam but did not want to pay the price for an EX head. Also what about the crower valve train upgrade? Will this fit a LX head also?

Rep Power: 811 um, the cam is different for vtec vs non-vtec. cannot swap it just because the cam gear fits on the end. not sure on what parts of the valve train are different.
