Guyz im planning to boost my D17 wid stock internalz...i need sum advice wid my plan cuz i dun wanna get stuck up in da middle ov da project...so lil help required
...i`ve got IHI-RHF5 BB turbo, intercooler, greddy BOV, manifold, VAFC II, performance clutch, oil lines etc...now herez wht im planning to do for the fueling thngie. im gona install walbro in-tank fuel pump...get bigger injectors (probably RSX 440cc) and fine tune them wid VAFC II...i plan to install a thicker head gasket just to decrease the compression a lil and run arnd 8~9 psi ov boost...im lil confused wid da fueling part...is this going to work?? plus is there anythng else required for going turbo??

jeez take it down a notch people. For turbo I wouldnt suggest anything except Emanage and bigger injectors AT LEAST. The VAFC cant adjust ignition timing and can only adjust fuel for 12 points across the rpm band. The emanage is FAR more superior in tunability. If you really wanna get serious with it, a standalone (AEM EMS) is the true way to go. Stock RSX injectors come in 240cc and 310cc. Most people use the RSX injectors with a mild boost setup.. They do tend to run full duty cycle once you hit the 210+ hp range. A bigger pump is a good thought, the stock one tends to burn up under heavy use.
You need fuel upgrades when going turbo, the stock system wont cut it for long. The motor will be fine if you have it tuned by a professional that is proficient with what engine managment you are using, hopefully its emanage or AEM.

sorry had to use that.
if you dont know what your doing and need help on parts i would buy a kit such as dezod and add on the parts. otherwise theres a few threads about boosting custom i would try search.

In the past people have run 8-9+ psi on stock internals with no ignition tuning. It can be done but its not recommended. You won't get the full potential to make power without being able to adjust ignition timing. The ECU does retard timing though with the knock sensor but only to a certain degree. It's not designed with boost in mind and certainly shouldnt be your failsafe.
Emanage + injectors at least!
