The t3/4 turbo's are great on smaller engines as well, and the newer ones spool very fast too. And if you try to put a 70 series on a d17 your pretty much retarted unless you have some major upgrades done internally, because it will take forever to spool on it, which means say good but to any low end and probably 1st-3rd gears as well cause you won't go anywhere until 4th when you can get enough load.

The 25 series (including the 8) are GREAT for quick spooling applications, such as autocross and small output motors, where the emphasis is more on response than top end power. moving up the ladder you can end up with the t3 and hybrid series, where there is a good balance of absolute power and response. This is generally reguarded as one of the greatest street turbos for lower output engines, for the mere fact that it will build boost low and give you that still satisfying "knockout" punch. Then you can go out and buy yourself a 70 series (88's arn't true 88s) and drive your Supra on the highway at 1000mph and flip over and blow up then roll over some more. So, to the man who said T25's are cheap. Please
Thank you for explainig difference between different turbocharges.

+1 rep to you.

I have t25 and I love it for quick spool, good TQ down low and quick response in traffic.

it sounds like it's a good kit for mountain passes and curvy backroads. i just might have to pick one up. if i opted for no fuel option and bought rsx injectors, i would only have to pay for an install and dynotime. could that all be done for around $3000?

Yup. See...........this is when you purchase our kit, you can IM, PM or call us for techy advice and/or support. TSI, I can not say the same for. We get tons of techy IMs everyday. All though, now we are logging them and such to trend where it stems from.

I dont agree with this. you can upgrade this kit like any other. what would u upgarde to other than a bigger or ballbearing turbo? since i have put mine on i have added the crower cam, springs, retainers, and a boost controller and am makeing nearly 200 on plain pump gas. if i put on a better exhaust and retuned it i am sure i would be makeing near 210 or 220 at the wheels. i bought one of the earlier kits and have had it installed since last summer with no major problem except for a small oil leak(probably a oil line that i didnt tighten) but the car runs like it is new. granted i use e-manage, this kit can be great and the instructions are pretty strieght forward as long as u know how to read.

the best advice is to do like i did and wait until someone gets dicouraged about installing there turbo kit and sells it cheap then snach it up!

It should be the same. The footprints are the same for 25's as 8's. I couldent imagine them making them differnt (for cost reasons).

There is no deal, just use dremel/file and few later its all done...no biggie...
I think tsi mani fits w/out shaving on non-a/c cars, it is just my thought.

I know that, I have t25 now.
Is your t25 or t28?
I want to know if I slap t28 on the same mini, if t28 will clear everything around it.

dont get the TSI kit. if your going to go turbo, DEZOD has way more to offer and his services are awsome.
