Why boost not building?
Could there be another problem other than faulty gauge?
Today I was driving and noticed that my electronic (digital readout) boost gauge stayis in vacuum and reads -29 at any rpms.
My injector unit depends on this gauge reading (eg its dumping extra fuel when gauge reads preassure), since preasure not rising engine not getting any extra fuel (the fuel reading shows its not adding any).
Could there be another problem other than faulty gauge?
p.s. I'm not driving my car at this time.
Thx

Well I'd check the vac line and see if it blew off. Check to see if there's any crud in the port as well.
Getting a new sensor would be the easiest place to start, but if you can do any diagnostics on the one you got (checking the resistance readout etc... ) then do that first.
Even when the car is in vac it should be moving around, so something is definitely off with the gauge itself.

I'm set now that its the gauge thats giving me issues.
I tried resistance on the vac line (I used my finger) It does "suck in" my finger when I rev, so preasure changes, but gauge always read -29.
...I took appart the gaude and there was that little black sensor where you attach the vac line. I'm thinking it might be just "closed" from reading or just "stuck" in one position.
Can I just drop little lublication inside this sensor via vac line out and see if it helps?
