alternatives for Missing Link
Trying to read through all the posts now relating to Missing Link, but thought I'd start a new thread for more feedback.
What other options are there to keep the cel from showing up when there is positive pressure? I saw on one thread where dezod stated he could never make missing link work correctly so I'm trying to find other alternatives. The OBDII gets scanned down here my town so I want to try what I can to keep CEL's from showing up after I finish my turbo project.
Thanks.

E-manage is a less-ghetto way.
Some people make a series of check valves from fish tank valves to bleed boost off before it gets to the MAP sensor. Probably just as questionable as the missing link.

The missing link has worked for a few members.. just because dezod's one didnt doesn't meen that it won't work for you. If you plan on using an emanage it has a voltage clamp, which essentially does the same thing. There is also "splitsecond'', they make something along the same lines as the emanage's voltage clamp. The ML is working for me and I have hit been to 10 psi many times.. no CEL, nothing..

This is one of our previous boosted members "JWCardy" had to say about it.. SynapseEngineering..

It is not our check valve. It is made by Synapse Engineering.
It works fine, but IMO the E-Manage voltage clamp is far more superior.

^^ misunderstanding.. i meant to say that the one you were using ,which was SE's check valve didnt work for you. I am also using that same check valve. I agree on the voltage clamp being far more superior based on others' comments about it, not from personal experience, yet.

The ML I think clamps the voltage much sooner requiring more tuning not only for normal throttle response but for the boost as well.
The VC is a bit more controlled, and you can clamp the voltage at persay, 4.95V out of 5 leaving less tuning overall in comparison.

ML does great on mild psi. on my t25 at 6psi it worked great, but at 8-9psi it cant bleed boost fast enough, so I may/may not cel after a hard boosted run...It will dissapear soon after and car wont go into limp mode. I dont worry about it now, but I'm thinking about modifying ML to handle well under more psi than 9
