intercooler

Anyone know which IC(or specs) that would be possible to fit in the 05 4dr lx bumper with no modification required to the bumper? I have looked numerous places but i can't find a definite answer and if anyone has specs can you please post them?

Thanks
Kev

get one that is like a 19"x4"x8" or something. it should work fine with little to no modification.

4 sounds pretty thick.
Only sure fire way, get in there with a measuring tape. Don't forget you've got a pipe to run too, and you'll most likely find yourself trimming some stuff to get that in there.
the thinner and shorter it is, the more likely it'll be since the bumper is widest in the center.

3 is as thin as they go.
you need to clear the bumper bar too. so my guess is you'll need ____x6x3
or so. usually ICs are sized by core, so add 4-7" onto that for the end tanks.
Go measure, and build a cardboard mockup. thats what I did, its the only way to get it the way you want it.

We have one that would fit that is awesome sized and pretty easy to work with. End tanks are on opposite sides.

Dimensions are: 7" h x 29" w x 3.5" D

It is a bar and plate design intercooler, not tube and fin (like 80% of the intercoolers out there). Far cheaper than Spearco or other bug name brands. We TIG weld the end tanks on, and weld 2 nuts in place on the top of each to aid in mounting it to the vehicle. (this pic does not have the nuts welded on yet)

We will have many of these in stock by early next week.

End tank to end tank. I doubt it. It is a 20" W core, but the other 8" are end tanks.

Almost no intercooler on the D17 will require the bumper NOT to be cut. You have to give to get power.

This is priced on our site for $425, however 7thgeners wanting to do custom turbo stuff, PM me for special pricing
