anyone see the vortec kit for the civic si that has the torque shaft inside a tube that ran the supercharger? Basically it allows you to install the supercharger on the tranny side, but the torque shaft goes across and mounts in-line with the belts, and has a pulley on it.
i dont see why that couldnt work. Maybe you should buy a B series vortec kit and check that out. I think it would be much easier to fit in there than trying to get the whole supercharger shoved into such a small area.

wouldnt even need to do that. Just a 90* bend from the aftercooler to the stock TB.
If you really have to, it is possible to swap the intake manifold fom a b series. I love my GSR manifold.

But on a side note... I highly doubt you'll see in increase of 100hp on our D17. A B16A2 with a JRSC get's about 40hp to the wheels.
Remember... a supercharger uses power to make more power.

Good table.
Good table.
i think it's common sense that the sc with the aftercooler would produce higher numbers
PROCHARGER been around for some time now.
but you have a point every engine are not the
same. but for them being in business for many years
i belive the number. and i belive i will hit the
220hp mark with it. then add internal
(Engine kit..piston,cam..ect) to hit the 250hp or more.
of course it takes some tuning

actually, centrifical superchargers usually are not positive displacement blowers. That means that there is a lag until a certain RPM point.
But as long as you are above that RPM point, then you are correct, no lag whatsoever.

sweet! a supercharger for the 7thgen! just like other people said in this thread, it would be nice to have a stronger daily driver since i don't race
besides, i heard there's lots of maintenance with turbo. is there any like that for supercharging?

this makes me wanna wait until he starts charging!, or i can start by own Prjkt with the vortech B18c kit and try to get it modded to fit. Looking @ the Vortech system thre does not seem to be TOO much work involved to make that fit.

I wonder every time when hear "turbo - more maintanance"...
What does it mean - no one realy knows.
Well I changed oil and little missing link filter and that about it. I usualy chqck just regular things under the hood, but its like any other car.
since the charger am buying which is a c-1
has no oil line. you will have to change the chargers oil
just like in a engine. drain then fill every 6,000 miles.
that easy. belive me it will only take you like 5 min.
to do it. will show a pic how it looks soon.
