fuel question- stage2 cam & 10psi

i recently bought the comp stage two turbo cam and a tubo xs boost controller and i am wondering if i need to upgrade the fuel system. i want to run about ten psi and i currently have rsx type s injectors. i am wondering though if i will run out of fuel when i boost hard. i have heard i could get away with the injectors through ten psi but i dont know if this is true or not. any help would be great.

maybe maybe not, 10 psi is not the same on all turbos! 10psi on a t25 could possible run rsx injectors on stock fuel system with rsx injectors(with piggy back) But 10 psi on a GT40R im pretty sure the stock fuel system wouldnt be able to meet the demand I would suggest you try it and make sure to have a wideband to make sure you dont lean out. would be even easy to watch it with a fuel pressure guage on a dyno.

Depends on alot more than your turbo. Depends on how agressive your tune is. Of course the turbo will play a part in it. But it depends on how much power you plan to make with that 10 psi. I'd say you should choose a rough horsepower number to gauge other than how much boost pressure. If you know how much power you want to make and how much fuel pressure you're planning on running, use a BSFC of 60-65 and click the link in my sig for injector sizing. There's a formula that helps figure out what the proper size injectors you should use are.

Also, try making sure that you don't exceed 80% duty cycle on the injector. Anything higher than that can cause inconsistant spray patterns and flutters which can lean out and break things.

And this has been covered before.

I used to run 10 psi on my rsx injectors with greddy emanage. It was fine until i would floor it. I blew two headgaskets in two races. I am pretty sure they max out like around 8 but like andyman said its about your tune pretty much but good luck

^ I promise you didn't blow your headgasket because your injectors couldn't supply the fuel if you were running 310's.....

Click the link in my sig that says Tuning/Detonation Info. I think it definitely has something to do with your tune.

rsx-s injectors will safely work for up to 225whp. What are you using to control them ???

I agree, I have been running 8-10 psi daily for almost 2 years and about 25,000 miles. My motor is completely stock, including injectors and i am still on my stock HG. I floor mine quite a bit while getting onto the interstate from exit ramps and i have run 10psi for more than 30 seconds and i still have no problems. I am not saying that there isn't damage done to my bottom end but so far nothing has broken.

Why guess? If you have to ask why you're blowing a headgasket, it's clear that you aren't dyno tuned. My suggestion is to get on the dyno and get someone who knows how to tune to set you up before you run any more boost.

My car was dyno tuned and it was tuned pretty good but i don't know if i had a boost spike or something because it was fine for like a month then one day i floored it and it felt weird i looked down and the temp gauge was going up so i put it away and changed the headgasket

It could have been a boost spike. Are you internally gated? What are you using for boost control? Engine management? Without being able to see what your car is doing on the dyno, it's hard to know. What are your egt's like?
