Another sneak peak ***NEW UPDATE WITH PICS ON PAGE 7***
Heres a new sneak peak at my new setup.
Most of you probably dont know about my ideas of going completely stealth with the car. This means that you cannot tell that it is turbod.
The following pictures are of my car right now. I am waiting on one small piece so i can finish the downpipe. Then i just need to do oil lines.
And YES.... THE TURBO IS INSTALLED, AND ALMOST ALL THE FABRICATION IS DONE!!!
And no, im not showing you whats under the shields......

i want a sleeper. So why not make everyone think i have only a DC header?
Sure, the exhaust gas will be somewhat cooler, but nowhere near as much as if i were to mount it STS style (in place of the muffler).
I did a camaro with the turbo in the back. Its spoolup time was the same as if it were up front.
I also did a Toyota previa like this, where i put the turbo up front, and ran pipes to it from the stock manifolds. It made 250 whp on 5 psi. Spoolup was pretty decent for the turbo being 5' away from the engine.
I should still be able to accomplish my power goal with a setup like this. If i find it to be too restrictive, then i will simply build something else. This setup so far has cost me about $150 less than if i were to have built a manifold. Actually, only thing i had to buy to do this was the T3 flange. I already had the piping, aluminum, etc. So this cost me $20.
You cant beat that. Even if it turns out to work like crap, it was worth the $20 just for the entertainment purposes.

To further incrase your sleeper status, it would be sweet if you could manage to keep the stock intake plastics in place by gutting them out and get some mandrel bent piping to run through them.

Yes, the GSR intake manifold is still on the car. Its just hidden.
I already cut out the stock plastic air box. The IC pipes are running through the air box. I still have the large front mount intercooler i have always had. It is 31" x 8" x 3". And its painted black.
I am going to paint/powdercoat the aluminum shield black also.

my friend has a similar setup on his 89 accord...he has a turbo behind is block liquid cooled intercooler, and piping almost directly into his intake manifold...you cant even see that he is boosted until u listen and he goes flying cuz of 340 whp on a single cam
What turbo are you running? I remember you said before it was a sc60-1, is that still the one? What are you doing for management? If those two things are in sync, you'll make alot of power. What are the goals?
