It has to do with the fuel outlet from the pump assembly in our tanks:
the outlet is very narrow, so, even if you have a bigger pump and a return system with big fuel lines installed, there is only so much fuel coming out of the outlet.
Acts as a bottle neck.
The fuel flow will only improve if you install a fuel cell on your trunk and bypass the stock tank and fuel lines.
In my case, I installed a return line and intank pump.
The only difference is that I installed a reservoir that will filled up from the intank pump than, with the help of an inline pump the fuel is pushed into the fuel rail, then, to the fuel regulator, then back to the reservoir that, if it gets to overfilled, the fuel goes back to the main tank via fuel return line.
So, I never get lean even during boost spikes cause I get as much fuel as I will ever need under any condition.

That's the reason I'm not even trying it like that.
I radder be conservative and raise the power gradualy and still be able to drive the car to the store or go to the movies in it with no problem.
