questions about cams
ok, i have alot of questions about cams. here we go
1. difference between stage 1 2 and 3 cams.
2. difference between 1 2 and 3 turbo/na cams
3. if i get a stage 2 na cam and get a turbo will i have to change the cam again?
4. if i get a stage 1 turbo cam before i get the turbo will it do anything to my car.
5. if i get a different cam will i need different valves, retainers and springs?
6. anyone know what type of gains occurs for each of these types?
thanx for the help. its been buggin the hell out of me. im so curious

from what i gathered
1.size of the lobes affect the lift and duration of the valves so 1<2<3 in lobe size.
2.stage 1 and 3 are not specific about turbo or n/a. only stage 2 offers a n/a or turbo choice.
3&4.probably not but i'm sure they made them specific for a reason. just get the n/a one unless you plan on getting turbo. it shouldn't matter to much if you have the turbo cam on before you actually get the turbo.
5.you don't need the springs and retainers with the stage 1 but it's still recommended. stage 2 and 3 it's required.
6.don't know gains because i know of no one that has posted a dyno with any of the cams.
Hope this helps. Some of it might be wrong but i'm pretty sure i got most of it right. I know others will chime in and correct/flame me if i'm wrong LOL.

I thinq you Q's have been answered, but you might want to send e-mail crower and ask, since they would have more first hand knowledge.
HP gains - the most interesting thing in the cams.
With N/A cams on turboed car vs stock cams on Turboed car:
You wouldnt have to change cams, but HP/TQ curves will be different, gain/loss of such will occur.
