Question new and need advice

i got a 05 civic lx (D17A1) and i want to swap out the engine but i was wondering if ne one could tell me if a H22 would fit or better yet a k20a RSX-R with little or no mods to the bay. thanx

what's an rsx-r? do you mean rsx- type s? and i think it's illegal to put an h22 in our cars

Why is it illegal to put H22's on our cars?
RSX-R = Integra Type R (Japan only)

I've heard it's illegal to put older engines in newer cars. probably emissions or something

Yeah the k20a will fit in the engine bay its going to cost you. A h22 i believe would be a waste i personally believe the k20 is a way better engine

The rumor about putting older engines in newer cars was just a rumor.. U can put legaly but why swap something older? If I was you I would stick with the k20a2 engine (rsx s) cause already that is very expensive to swap with all the parts ull need + the engine .. hehe imagine the r
