From here, it’s time to set the emanage controls for your car.
DX/LX- You can use the rotary setting of 4-8-C
EX/DX/LX-You can all use 4-8-E, but this is the only setting found to engage VTEC
To change these settings, you must open the end of the emanage and adjust under the cover plate.
For jumper settings, I believe you only need to make changes for VTEC. All model civics can use these settings and it will be fine.

JP1: 1-2
JP2: 1-2
JP3: 2-3
JP4: 1-2
JP5: 1-2 (for sub injectors)
JP6: 1-2 (for sub injectors)
JP7: OPEN

5 and 6 are only needed if you choose to use sub injectors. But they must be enabled and selected on the support tool maps.
I suggest you do a LOT of reading, and hope that you didnt F*ck up something When they say thats with that harness its plug and play, that means that you have to play with the settings and NOT the wiring. Hence why your car wont start and hopefully didnt fry something

Here is the body of the DIY,
NEW UPDATE-9/30/05
Some updates:

First, and most important. In both the blue and the ultimate manuals, it specifically says for individual inline 4 ignition systems:
channel 1 of emanage - cylinder 1
channel 2 of emanage - cylinder 3
channel 3 of emanage - cylinder 4
channel 4 of emanage - cylinder 2
Input means the wire goes to the ECU for the ignition.
Output means it goes out to the coil in the engine bay.

I didn't see this warning in the blue manual, but it is in the ultimate manual, so I would follow this:
*make sure the ignition wires are connected in the proper order shown in the chart above. Improper wiring of the ignition wires can cause damage to the ignition coils.

For the airflow/map sensor:
Input means to the engine bay/map sensor.
Output means to the ECU.

For the VTEC wires:
Input means to the ECU.
Output means to the engine bay for the VTEC solenoid.

For the VTM wire:
Cut the VTM wire at the harness and connect the VTM wire from the emanage going into the ecu. Tape and leave the other end of the VTM wire going to the engine bay.

One more quick note:
There was discussion before about which wire to use for the RPM signal. I used the crank angle sensor and so did a few others, everyone else used the actual tach signal wire (engine speed pulse.)

The engine speed pulse wire is the correct wire...only for the blue.
The ultimate uses both cam and crank angle sensors which is much better because it doesn't have to guess based on every full rotation but it can be much more accurate based on the position of the crank and cam.

UPDATE!!-For the rpm wire (brown wire on emanage) it actually goes into the engine speed pulse wire which is pin 7 (blue wire on ecu harness) on connector E. I have verified this with several EFI certified tuners, as well as AEM certified tuners so if you wire in an emanage or anything for that matter, make sure to use this wire instead of the crank angle sensor wire.

Ok, so here is the “how to install your emanage” post.

I have attached a few documents with all wire locations and colors on the harness. I borrowed some of this information from other posts and tried to put together a neat layout and description.

First and foremost, disconnect the negative terminal on the battery.

From there, you can start wherever you like. I started on the main/injector harness. Now, some of you may be wondering about the additional wiring harnesses…

Now, some people may be wondering where your ecu is located and how to get to it. Just drop the glovebox and remove the holders on both sides and it should drop right down. When you look into the cavity behind the glove box, you will see the ecu standing on it’s side.

All you need to do is disconnect the 3 harness plugs from it and begin wiring. If you really want to, you can pull the engine harness out from the engine bay through the firewall. This will probably require you to remove the ecu but I didn’t. By the wire colors and harnesses, you should be able to determine which is which.

The main harness comes with the emanage. There is no need to buy the injector harness, all it includes are additional wires which you can pick up yourself and plug into the main emanage harness. You should probably pick up the ignition harness, however.

For the main/injector harness, you can simply tap all of these wires from the emanage (except for the VTEC wires) directly into the ecu wiring. The VTEC wires will need to run in and out. In is into the ECU, out is into the engine bay. Be very careful to make sure you run these wires to the right locations. Also, it might be a good idea to use male and female but connectors for the in and out wires so that if you remove the emanage, you can always reconnect those wires with no additional wiring. This goes the same for the ignition wires.

Like I said, just make good connections on all wires. For the main/injector emanage connector, you can also use pins 8 and 9 to control two additional sub injectors if you choose, just wire them into these locations.

For the ignition harness connector, there are only 8 wires that need to be connected. 4 in and 4 out. With the diagrams I have provided, you should have everything wired in, no problem.

**A quick note about the ignition wiring: A conclusion that I've come to is that it doesn't matter what channel you wire into what cylinder. Each coil should use the same amount of timing being retarded. The main thing to know is that you get the input and output correct. All the emanage does is take the signal from the ecu to the coil and pull timing from it. Hence, regardless of which coil is wired to chich channel on the emanage, it shouldn't make a difference.

JP2: 1-2
JP3: 2-3
JP4: 1-2
JP5: 1-2 (for sub injectors)
JP6: 1-2 (for sub injectors)
JP7: OPEN

5 and 6 are only needed if you choose to use sub injectors. But they must be enabled and selected on the support tool maps.

So this includes all of the info that you should need to properly install an emanage with no issues. If anything needs to be added, just reply to the post and I’ll edit this original post to reflect any additional info. I hope the diagrams are useful to those who use them.

Here are the diagrams:
i suggest you read all of this , the instructions that came with the e-manage and
And read EVERYONE of the links and every post on each link HERE!!!!!!

I just compared the wires with your diagram it looks like all of it is there except for the vtec wires. Do I absolutely need that for it to start? I would think so but maybe
