tuboing new engine

I'm planning on turboing my k20a3 but It's pretty much a brand new engine. It has only 180kms on it. My plan is to have it installed and tuned with the turbo all at the same time. I'm not sure though if i should break it in at low boost or would it really matter. I want this thing to be reliable so i'm thinking 8psi but now i'm not sure if i should be worried about wrecking the engine because it's not broken in yet.

If it was me, i wouldn't boost it until your first oil change. If you are gonna boost it now, just run low boost and don't jump on the throttle until your first oil change.

I would give it a good thousand miles for the rings to set before you start running boost. Boosting immediately on a motor that doesn't come with blower rings from the factory could lead to premature ring blowby...

Yeah, you can get the turbo installed at the same time, but make sure to set your boost low. I would drive it at no more than 1-2psi for the first 5000km, and don't open it up.

Well, i hate to tell you.........depending on your wastegate spring......you prolly won't be able to run lower than 4psi. Are you internally or externally gated ?

Then you can disconnect the wastegate actuator rod and run 0 psi.
