stock injectors please help
stock injectors please help
ok i just basically finished my turbo setup except one thing somehow my rsx injectors got thrown in the garbage!! dont even want to go there they got mistaken for some old car parts but anyways i dont have time to wait to order new ones i have to be at work at 3:00pm with no other transportation. my wastegate is set a 6 psi alone with my b/c would it be ok to use my stock injectors at that psi or will i lean out? and i also have the vafc2 as my management, please help
Yup, you should be fine to run 6psi on your stock injectors. You'll be running a little lean, but nothing like I have been running for the past few months. If you have an EGT, you should check it to make sure it's not getting outrageously high. You should be fine though.
NOOO. Don't even run 1 psi. YOu will bown ur dam motor in less then a block.
zach_04LX- where did you get this infor. from??? that our stock injectors can handle 6psi. Don't said anything when you don't know what are you talking about.

Shouldn't ur injectors be maxing out.
Maybe w/ the sf fuel system, then u can use the stock injectors. I think he is using VAFC 2 + rsx injector as fuel.

if you are not using a rising rate regulator as a fuel system, then no, you cannot run hardly any boost.
When i did a turbo kit for a guy on here with an HX, we tried to run 3 psi with the stock injectors and a safc II. it did not work. I had the damn safc maxed out as soon as it went into boost, and it still went lean.

All I can say is that I'm running 7psi on stock injectors for months without any problems at all. I don't have an upgraded fuel rail, pump, or anything else. Just a Garrett T28i turbo, intercooled, and wastegated at 7psi. Haven't run into any problems except that I'm running a little lean.
I had my car dyno tuned on 4 pounds with my Vafc2 turned all the way up on my stick injectors and i was reading more than a 20.1 a/f ratio. I had to get me some 440cc injectors. You are crazy if u run ur car. I wouldnt just take ur wastgate spring out so then u wont run any boost. You will definalty blow up something. I am only running 6psi and tuned with the 440cc injectors now and can stay with my friends 350z
i guess i will just wait then i cant afford a blowup right now thanks guys i didnt want to just say screw it and get down the street and boom!!! well in that case is anyone here now where i can get them the cheapest i saw another forum that said go to clubrsx but they want like $400 for theirs and i dont want to spend all that money over again. i have a tip too never leave your $350 injectors around a female they will get tossed

Those kits suck. They can actually cause alot of Knocking or combustion before the right time. The e-manage is nice but u need actually 440cc injectord with a piggyback. If you dont get new injectors u will go down the street and go boom. You also need a new fuel pump. 255lph
Look on ebay for 02-04 acure Rsx type s injectors 440cc

........explain to me how it causes knocking and preignition. and you can get as technical and in depth as you want, ill know what your saying.
(i wouldnt know how the kit is cus i havent installed the turbo yet even but i decided to go with e-manage and rsx injectors instead of the kit that came with the turbo.
and honestly, dont blow smoke up the persons ***, they do not NEED a new fuel pump and the vafc2 should work fine, he doesnt need 440cc injectors either, that depends on how much hes boosting and rsx s injectors are fine.

so since you cant prove your theory that the injector and tuning kit im selling will cause preignition can you maybe edit and delete that comment.
not trying to be an ******* but im trying to sell it and an untrue comment like that will not help.

I am just trying to help the guy out the right way. If he ever wants to go with an aem ecu he would have to run extra wires and wire them in. It would be difficult. I am trying to help people out the easiest way. And if you want to sell it put it on the For sale forum
its in the for sale forum, but dont tell a person "dont buy it its junk" when you dont know what your talking about enough to back that opinion up.
dont tell someone not to buy somehting when you dont know if thats all he will need, who said this guys upgrading to a 1500 dollar ems??? no1 did so unless you say "hey if you have huge plans to get an ems or w/e this might not be a good idea" dont chime in.

A fuel system cannot cause knock and detonation. A improper set-up can lead to this.....not the actual system.

There are quite a few people out there with this car running the injector plate and the AIC. For low boost applications, you dont need to be efficient. You just need enough fuel in all the cylinders. Does it have to be the same amount of fuel in each cylinder? No. Just enough that none of them pre-ignite.
If you are on a budget and can get the AIC and the plate for cheap, then do it.
Me on the other hand, i have 680 cc injectors and im in fear of them not being large enough. I have a set of RC750's also, but i dont want to use them if i dont have to.
