k20a3 swap....
Hasport says using a k20a3 from a base rsx that the Intake manifold will not fit over the core support. They suggest using a SI manifold (same as a type s manifold). That means I need a TB and the si ECU too or kPRO. Has anyone swapped a base rsx k20a3 without changing the intake manifold?

The base RSX manifold(the balck plastic one) is a dual runner intake manifold like on the old GSR's The manifold on the Si is close to the one on the type S but the runners are a little shorter. But if your going the switch manifolds i would get K-pro for the base motor that way you can turn the dual runner function off. Hope this info helps with your swap,
Its a celebration bitches!

all u need is the manifold, the Si and rsx S have the same maifold. the base has the dual stage, the si and rsx S has only the single stage.
get the aluminum mani. you can hook everything up to that perfectly...
thats plastic manifold WILL NOT work in our engine bays

dam with suspension and slicks and on a good diet (weight) seeing that ep3's with full bolt-ons and falkens running mid 14's (still very hard but seen a few in person), u could break 13's but dont know. Not a bad setup though especially when u get it tuned. Cant wait for dyno #'s.
