SLP Return Kit help! *update 8/26/05*
When he checked the lines he saw fuel so we think he had some sort of restriction somewhere, most likely in the tank. He is the first to report this sort of problem to us, everyone else's install went perfect.

okay update on the situation. attempted to install the slp return kit again this weekend but no luck on getting it to start up. After a series of testing individual pieces we have narrowed the field on what the problem could be. First off the walboro pump works fine. it is currently in my car being tamed by the stock fpr. the aeromotive fuel pressure regulator is fine after flow testing it we realized that it was working fine. we tested everything in certain order to try to single out the problem. so far everything we did pointed to the modified fuel rail. So, monday, i am sending the modified rail to jeff at SLP along with a spare fuel rail that i had in case that one needs to be rewelded. they will examine it there to see if there is any issues they can see or fix. Hopefully that is what is causing a loss of pressure not allowing it to start up which we will see. i will update this again once i have the new rail which with anyluck may be next weekend. wish me more luck

tried again today.. wouldnt work. the aeromotive fpr isnt working right. the pressure gauge shows 0 constantly even when at different adjustments. I got a friend that is gonna make me a lil setup with a needle valve (same concept) and i will see if that is the problem before i spend some money on a new fpr.

ok, i have the kit, but my problem is the pressure consistently remains at 45psi, no matter where the adjustment screw is on the regulator. the one thing i didn't do, which i didn't see in the directions, is cap off that 2nd hose. i instead ran it back to the suction. but, would that be the reason why my pressure will not rise or fall beyond 45psi?

i never received a capped fitting or short hose like that. anyway, everythings working fine except the ability to adjust the pressure. i just want to know if that would be the reason as to why it can not be adjusted. i have that fitting gorilla glued on there so there's no taking that pump back out without making another mess.

im not sure what came in your kit but i put this together and your kit should have came with some way of capping that fitting off. otherwise im not sure what this will do to your pressure underload and such. whats the pressure as you tach the engine up?

the pressure is at 45, and remains at 45 regardless where i set the adjustment screw. i don't see how having that hose connected would prevent that adjustability. even when boosting, the vaccum sensor isn't rising the pressure.

these parts are what should be eliminated from the stock fuel pump assembly.. if they havent been eliminated then that is why you cant increase the pressure, but i would think that you should be able to lower the pressure from your adjustable regulator

UPDATE: 8/26/05
Ordered a new Aeromotive FPR with Jeff @ StreetLevel. Its a boost referencing FPR. The FPR turned out to be the problem this whole time. After replacing the broken fpr with the new one and connecting/removing items needed, the car started up. I adjusted the pressure to stock settings and it ran flawlessly. No leaks, no more bullshit. I would like to thank everyone that helped out especially Tfnaaf and Jeff @ streetlevel. Rep to you guys and I owe you big time.
