Its all good bro- so to throw this thead off its original topic- are you a mechanic or what do you do to 7thgens specifically?
Re: Crower Releases Stage 2 Cams for D17a2
im bomermans lil bro ive basicly helped him with everything he's done with his car i also help other people with there cars i helped with andymans car.. i kinda am inexprenced compared to everyone else but for my age i have way more wrench time then most other people. at school im kinda the go to guy for parts info and help with cars. right now i own a saab 9-3 but i plan on a honda project car once i finish the subaru. i guess you could say im experienced, i mean i can pull a civic motor pretty quick. o yeah im pretty good with wiring and i detail cars. heres my car http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3350071 theres more to come with that car.

Pretty sweet. I havent pulled a motor yet, but was planning on it, but now I'm thinking about selling and just getting something more to my tastes so that'll never happen anytime soon. Andyman has a pretty nice car, thats cool you got to work on it with him. Def not a noob!

Re: Crower Releases Stage 2 Cams for D17a2
I'm thinking a type s... and building the motor but keeping it stock from the outside except for suspension. The D17 just got a shitty deal with the aftermarket world. Swapping a K series in will end up running me about the same and I'll get panels that are more dent resistant with thicker paint and a nicer interior. I'm kinda done with the suede door panels and my seat that squeeks when I move around. My AC doesnt keep me cool even after trying to recharge it. Its just a bunch of little things that get to me. My buddy has a SC'd tsx and its just so nice and still has the honda engineering behind it- I'd never buy something not engineered in japan... I'd say I'll never buy something made in japan, but I already have. My car was made in Ohio. :-/ Looking to climb up ya know? I need something a little more professional that I can haul clients around in.

all im going to say is that its not as bad for parts as you think theres nothing for my saab and its the tuner flagship for saab. ej25d out of 2.5 rs no parts at all its alot harder trying to tune cars from other companys. d17 has a big market the only hard part abou a d17 is getting a proper tune to go with your parts. and yes i know the d17 dosent respond to parts. but if you want an rsx go ahead and get one. when i was in the car shoping market its was soo hard to find a low milage type s for under atleast 14k. and the regular rsx is great for turboing if your thinking that

Re: Crower Releases Stage 2 Cams for D17a2
Hmm, never thought about turboing the base model. I just want a K20a2 or K20a. I dont want to settle for the lower performance K series and wish I had something better later on... I did that with the civic- bought an LX because it was in good condition and the mileage was low... but ****, I wanted painted door handels and mirrors, a moon roof.. an EX motor and exhaust... blah blah blah. Base models are really cheap these days, type s's are more expensive... Some s2k's are around the same price as the type s's
Re: Crower Releases Stage 2 Cams for D17a2
well the base rsx has lower compression pistons which would be better for turbo. but if you want na power get a 04 up rsx type s because they have the k20z's in them and its like and extra 10 hp and a less restrictive mani. s2ks are nice but theres realy not much to do with them because there perfection as it is infact you can lose power sometimes modding them. s2ks are best left untouch under the hood but there amazing with a body kit

Re: Crower Releases Stage 2 Cams for D17a2
by the way triz your not going to get better ac by buying a new car After 2000 the us made car manufactures get rid of freon and start using that R-134A ****. I can make it snow in the prelude but I could never get it cold in the 03 civic. it has nothing to do with the actual a/c mechanics them selves but the chemicals in the system. the A/C gets as cold in are cars as it does the RSX
Re: Crower Releases Stage 2 Cams for D17a2
thats another good point there all "economical" now if you want peformance and good ac LUDEEEEEE get ur self a prelude and there pretty cheap used big nice open engine bay great ac if its been untouched and the look sick black with time attacks and a roof rack with a wind diffuser and a nice body kit... my dream car
