The TSI fuel option doesnt compare to the e-Manage. That is why we offer the option to switch out the fuel system for people who purchase the kit from us.

To deliver more fuel you should get bigger injectors.

ok well I'm a big noob to turbos and I'm still doing alot of research before I invest but it sounds to me like there are alot of issues with the TSI kit? First the fuel system then the fittment of the pipes. Do all the kits made for our cars have these issues or just the TSI kit? BTW 03CivicEX03 what turbine are you running?

The issues were installation errors due to bad installation instructions. There is nothing wrong with the fitment if installed properly. The fuel system is fine we are just offering a better alternative for a little bit more.

What turbine do you recommend the t25 or t28. I have read the t25 heats up fast and that it's integrity is compromised over time due to the heat of everyday driving would the t28 be a better choice?

hell yeah, You shoulda got it. You WILL have to get emanage or EMS when its out, for a reliable setup.

I am going to be upgrading to the Emanage in a couple months. Ordering my clutch monday, getting retuned after installed, getting a couple pipes made differently, and ordering emanage. So I figure in a couple months I should have the emanage. Dont boost more than about 5 lbs w/ TSIs unit. You have to retard the timing (emanage) to run more boost(and only let the tuners adjust timing).

The fuel system fit absolutely perfect. nothing wrong with the kit, except the piping goes opposite than what the directions say, and you have to shave the manifold a little bit, we used a dremel. See below for more details on fitment. VV\/ \/VV

The only thing wrong with the directions were that the piping is backwards. The piping is labeled on the pipe where to go. Just do it backwards. So the charge piping to the IM goes on the drivers side. Oh yeah, and we bought a flexitube from autozone, cuz one pipe actually didnt fit. It was by the drivers side front wheel. It was bent and shoulda been straight. They are not the worst directions, but they do suck. Read over it for a few days, and make sure you know whats going on, than install it. It will be so much easier. Same with the wiring, it isnt bad at all, just find the right directions (on 7thgen) for where all the wires are to tap into, and what colors. My friends and I installed it in a weekend, about 35-40 hours.. that was with 3 people working on it, and others drinking with us. get lots of beer, and work for hours like 12, w/o food. We barely ate, just drank. lol

I am also ordering the exedy organic clutch on monday. It will work fine until I need to run about 15 lbs. I am also gonna try to install my IC upsidedown, since the piping by the drivers side, is about 2" off the ground. My car is about 2" lowered, too. It doesnt scrape on everything, but a lot. Just have to drive very very very careful, and watch right hand turns.

You will be very happy with the kit though, it fits better than you think.

Peace

Apexi cannot adjust ignition timing. Neither can the TSI unit. The e-Manage can control extra injectors, ignition timing, and be tuned for boost by using the pressure sensor.

SAFC and TSI are nothing compared to emanage, no contest. apexi stuff isnt good for a boosted app IMO. Maybe a N/A honda, but thats it. When your making some crazy power compared to stock, you NEED to adjust the timing.

The TSI unit can suck my nu*s. Its a big a** freakin headache. It resets on me EVERY time I turn the car on, so 10 minutes to drive EVERY time, it doesnt control boost, even though there is a setting for it, and it doesnt adjust timing. Its good for a turbo timer and adding fuel, but thats only a little bit of what you need. Its not a bad unit, but nothing for a reliable setup, for a hundred more, get the emanage, to not waste 6-700 more down the line. I wish this deal was going on a month ago, I woulda hopped on this for sure.

Ill be ordering the exedy organic clutch from ya today jeff. I am getting my check in a few minutes, need to go run to some clients, and deposit my check. Than Ill be sending you a message and money. Ill let ya know when i order.

Peace

2K1Civic17"Gabe I was wondering what turbo your running? I'm debating between the T/28bb or the T/25bb. Just want some feedback before I invest. Thanks

T25, no BB. I will get the T28bb sometime this year, maybe next, well see how much I need it.

It spools HELLA fast, reached 13psi by 4000 rpms, haha. Just hope your wastegate is set from TSI, or go easy on it, and make sure you dont hit 13 psi at half throttle.

Question for people with the kit already hooked up. Did you have to adjsut the wastegate, or did it come preset from TSI??? I really really need to fix my problem with too much boost.

yeah, but they arent too bad. They are for a D16 it looks like though, since the IM is out the passenger side.
Here is a pic of where to tap into the coolant lines I believe, and maybe you can see the fuel lines or oil

edit-nvm, you cant see crap. The pic was on my clipboard already, so I just pasted it, wasnt right though, Ill still leave the pic up for ya

I'm not installing it myself. Someone else is doing it. I would like to have some pics of all of the electrical connections, removing the bumper, as well as the correct piping directions.

With the eManage, will the setup still use the TSI ICU for turbo timing?
