Question intake air temp sensor!!

ok i know this is probably a noob question but believe me when i say that i have searched and looked at the turbo install diy and what not, but i can not seem to find what you do with this sensor. i believe with the sf kit that it goes in the intake bonnet, but what about custom jobs? this is basically the only thing i have not figured out yet.

thanks in advance.

HyaBoosta will become famous soon enough
you have to have a bung for it either right before the throttle body or on the intake pipe of the IC before the turbo. Those locations have been argued to which is better. right before the throttle is more accurate in the sence that it shows the temp of the air going into the TB and the filter location because it shows the temp of the air entering the whole system.

Another member here has litteraly threaded the sensor with a die and you can weld a nut into the piping. I would show caution doing this as to not use to small of a die!

we tapped the charge pipe coming up from the intercooler to the throttle and squeezed a tight azz rubber bung in there to hold the sensor in place. So far, holds up nicely

i've seen mustang owners hold theirs in with rubber grommets.

I am gonna do what MadWheel did.......thread the sensor and drill and tap the charge pipe and screw it in.

I just drilled a ridiculously small hole in the charge pipe entering the throttle body and shoved a rubber grommet in it. The thing has yet to give me a problem
