70 shot n2o 5spd = ? shot auto

How much whp will a 70 shot of n2o give on an auto tranny? The XX shot hp numbers are only for manual trans right? How much will the auto rob?

35-50 whp

if yours is the edelbrock universal kit, then there is no 70hp jet settings. its 40, 60 and 80. Im currently running the 80. I advise your to watch out. I almost blew my motor up because the switch to the throttle body isnt safe.

man i almost blew my ****ing motor up man. if you got the edelbrock universal kit, watch out when your at wot. The microswitch in the throttle body will get stuck thus, causing you to rev your engine without doing anything.
I was lucky i turned off the ignition quickly, so the nitrous didnt come out.

why you can't go over 50 shot on an auto tranny? i've read a few post on here that said its safer to run nitrous on an auto than a manual and that the auto can handle a bigger shot. isn't it easier to to blow a manual tranny than it is to blow an auto tranny?

fvck turboing the d17...big mess, big headaches, and a big waste of time and money if you ask me. Nitrous is the way to go for the D17, atleast until you can gather the funds for a swap.

im currently running 70 shot on auto trans no problems and its been well over a year. Its all a matter of how much you spray. I think ive gone thru 4 bottles maybe 5? In therory 70 shot will add 70hp @ the crank of course this means you will lose some of it to the wheels. Just a guesstimate would be adding 50ish to the wheels on a 70 shot. As far as the zex system goes no idea how it works. Mine is armed from a toggle switch then its activated at wide open throttle. I have used mine thru all gears.

Well the zex one is kinda the same it goes on when you go WOT, and you had no problems with First, cuz everyone keep saying dont spray on first....

I've used the 80 shot (instructions for edelbrock kit say it's an 80 shot (kit: 40/60/80), but website advertises it as a 70 shot (50/60/70)) on my auto 5-6 times, no tranny problems (yet). Gonna install a tranny cooler soon. Saving up for a dyno tune, so I can see what's really being put down to the pavement.
