Big problems w/ SF manifold ATTN: CATALYST
The only reason that Im bringing this into the forums is b/c I cant reach anyone at SF. Im having major fitment problems w/ my custom T25 manifold and it cannot be used. Im not trying to bash their company, Im just trying to get theyre attention so that we can get this resolved.
EDIT: does anyone have a working contact number for Stafford fab?

The turbo outlet runs directly into the front motor mount and cant be rotated enough to clear it, the new downpipe runs directly into the block, the wastegate dump tube holds the hood 2" open, and the coolant lines run directly into the clutch slave cylinder.
So like I said it cant be used...

they are not going to resolve nothing, just do yourself a favor and get a new manifold, I'm still waiting for a kit for about four months now, and I don't think I will ever see it.

i am very sorry to hear this. In fact, i am very sorry to everyone.
Riceburner, I did build some of your parts. In fact, i built them several times trying to make everything as compact as possible. i built the dump tube last, trying to make it as low as possible with the diminishing materials that we had in stock. It was kicking my ***, so i got pissed and left it for someone else to do. Now with the coolant lines, i had no clue about that. I just built the manifold into the pre-built jigs that were supplied to me.
I am sorry to everyone that had problems. I tried to correct everything i could. But ultimately, i was not in charge. I did what was within my power. When someone's downpipe broke and seperated into 2 complete pieces, i had him send it to a friends house and I fixed it with my welder. If i had the materials and tools at home to fix something that needed to be fixed, i did.
Right now, i have no affiliation with SF. Even the turbo setup on my car, i built it all myself one night. Anyone remember BoostedCivicZex? He was actually there that night. I built his kit and mine in the same day. And we were the first 2 to have candy blue pipes.
I hardly ever see Mike anymore. Last time i saw him was when i ran into him at my buddies exhaust shop. I left there a while ago. And i hope you guys dont think that there was a single time that i had tons of money in my pockets. When i started there, i lived with my parents. So i was making pretty good money for being in college and having no bills (but not enough to brag about). But when me and my g/f (now my wife) decided to move in together, we barely made enough to get by. She works at starbucks and goes to medical college. And i barely made more that what was required for rent. Hell, i didnt have enough cash left over to go to the movies or to take my wife out to a nice dinner every once and a while. Right now, i am still looking for another job, doing side jobs to make ends meet.
I know some of you wont believe me based on the fact that my car is turbod. And turbos are expensive, right? Well, the first prototype system that everyone saw, and that made 165 whp and 166 ft/lbs to the ground on 5.5 psi only cost me $500. They needed a donor car to fill an order, so i loaned them mine. And $500 later i got to keep the prototype kit. Then later on i sold that kit (which had nothing wrong with it) to pay for the parts for my new kit, and to put a little cash in my pocket. I kept a couple hundred from that sale. So basically i got a nice *** turbo kit for my car (that i had to build) and a job out of being a test dummy. I got a lot of knowledge from working there. I got a lot of fabrication experience, and learned how a small business mistake can cause a catastrophe.
Yes, i am still on the boards under a different name. But i am not trying to gain anything by being on here. Im trying to help people out. I feel horrible about the people who got screwed. I only made up a new name so i could help people out with their problems. Since i came back, i have already helped out several people with fitment issues, manifold questions, turbo questions, and one person who couldnt find their speed sensor plug.
I am sorry. If i had a TIG welder and a chop saw, i would try to help you out. All i have is a wood cutting band saw and a 115V mig welder.
If you know what my other name is, please keep it private. I dont work for that company any longer.

IS there no way you can get a job at another shop and continue to produce a better quality turbo kit? From what i remember, the SF kits were pretty good when they came out. I guess they got crappier when money started to flow and ppl lost focus on quality. Things started to get rushed, parts were forgetten.
Your kit seems to be pretty good. Just get together with the right people. If you build it, they will come.
Call me crazy, but i would STILL buy an "SF STYLED" kit as long as the price was good, and build quality is improved/promised.
