DX Turbo ?
DX Turbo ?
I guess right now im just mentally masturbating with the idea of getting a turbo. The car is for sale but its not looking like it is going to sell. If i cannot sell the car Im thinkin about forcing it to go faster. The puss power output the d17 has is the reason for the sale. I hate going as slow as we go. Can someone direct me to a good kit for a 03 DX. There was some mention about the cat being in bad place on the DX. I think it is connected directly to the header, that being the problem with the other bolt ons you see out there. I dont know **** but my buddy has a garage complete with a lift and all the tools we will need to do the install. This would be his 4th turbo install. He told me if i can locate all the parts to a good kit he will do the labor for free and teach me how to install it. I want the kit to be legal, and easy goin on the engine. I dont need 200 hp. This car is going to be a daily driver. All i really want is 160 hp, if that. With all that said, please help me out guys. Any info that I might need or any problems i might encounters or tips you might have please let me know.
Thanks..
Brad

I just need to buy a kit from a company that will install it for me....

BTW here is some good reading: http://www.beesandgoats.com/boostfaq...rbo.html#Turbo
I posted this months ago.
if u want to be legal then just swap a k20a3 or k20a2 and with bolt ons u will get like 180-195 on a k20a2. Might be expensive but turbo is like 4200 and u can get type-s mtrs for like 3000 off recyclers and everything else would be like another 1000-2000 but u got labor covered.
Wow man. Why does this **** need to be so confursing. I think the easiest way to do this is to take it a shop like engineuity and have them build me a custom turbo and install it. They will do it right and tune it properly. I just want to put it on and not worry about it. K20a2 sounds good too. That just seems soo expensive. What are the comparisons in cost? engenuity said they will build a custom turbo kit and put it on for me for 3200 bucks. what you guys think?

its better to have a premade kit cause its already been tested and tuned for you.. all you gotta do is buy a kit and bolt on all the parts pretty much... then just have someone tune it for you.. it aint that hard
not good having a shop to custom a kit. they have no idea what they are doing. I mean they never build a kit for a 7thgen b4. It is not like the prev gen civic where they have a BIG engine bay to work with.

I am pretty sure the shop knows what they are doing. I mean cmon. They cant be refferred to by many many people and not be good. They use a kit but they make they make the head/cat thing custom or somthing like that. They use all the same **** that other kits use. I am sure they arent shitty!
