Good idea to get a civic then swap?

Sorry to touch this subject again butI got a 2003 auto that I mean is wortha round 13K and am looking for somethign faster (I know I'm not the only one). Wouldn't it be wise to sell for a 2001/2002 manual civic (around $6 or 7k) with high mileage on it but still in good shape and then use some of the money + add a bit more to buy a k20a2 and swap it in?

If you car is already paid off and you can get 13k for it than definitly do it. Because you can't beat that engine.

If you do end up getting a 2001 and the engine here is a good site to go to and get the engine. they have the k20a2 j-spec engine for the same price as any other k20a2. it's base hp is 230. http://www.japanstarmotor.com/k20a.html

I'd say go for it. Get one a little older and do the swap. Once you are done, you'll find out it was well worth it.

well, personally........if i sold my car, i would not be buying a 7thgen, even if i had money to swap. I would be buying a brand new car that is already fast (evo or sti)

but that is just me

Right but evo/sti are around 32/35k while the swapped civic can be for 15/16k.
