Rep Power: 0 SF Turbo Installed ... Pics/Review etc inside
Hi Guys, after two days of hard work I finally got the the SF turbo kit installed . It wasnt as easy as a 'bolt on kit'. Had to fix a few mistakes made by SF which took most of the time .
I have loads of pics in my camera but right now I am too lazy to upload them. I need some serious sleep. Also, I'll only upload them if you guys really want to see them. So let me know.
I'll be posting up details on installation plus some useful info regarding it when I get some free time. For now I am leaving you guys with a picture of the first thing I installed from the kit.

Rep Power: 0 ISSUES/PROBLEMS FACED DURING INSTALLATION
First of all the downpipe that came with the kit touches the AC line (pipe). Which could become a major problem coz of the heat. Therefore I had to shift the AC line a lil further. The oil drain fitting provided with the kit is no good. I had to make my own fitting by using parts from the scrap shops and then welded it to the oil pan. So far there are no leaks. SF didnt send me the drain oil connector of the turbo .... so it was off the scrap shops once again. After much effort finally got the main unit (manifold/turbo/wastegate/downpipe) hooked up with the oil lines in place. All this took half a day..... to be continued .......

The second step was to hook up the intercooler and intake piping. The piping though worked out pretty good at the end but was quite difficult to put in at the beginning. The working space is really tight and you really need to get under the car if you want to do things right. The major problem I had (and still have to some extent) with the piping was the elbow that connects to the throttle body. It kept on touching the hood. I had to cut the connecting rubber hose step by step to see where it sat properly. Now I have the elbow touching the throttle body and the tip of the BOV still makes a little contact with the hood. But one reason for that is that I have CB hood that is lowered in the middle as compared to the OEM hood.
Next came the fuel setup. I have a lot to say on this but right now I have to get back to work ....... so ..... to be continued ........
