Crankcase evacuation kit?
Crankcase evacuation kit?
I was talking to a friend about general engine operations and we started talking about the pcv system (positive crankcase ventilation) and we said that boosted applications get a large ammount of blow by (more that NA) due to increased combustion chamber pressures. he said that he used a crankcase evac kit to draw a vaccum on his engine, has anyone used this or have any ideas about it? he said that with out all that extra air inside the engine, a boosted app could see an hp increase , he just threw 30hp out as a general number, has any one ever used this setup, thanks!! --Jeremy

I was thinking about trying that too I wasnt sure if our cars would pull enough vacuum through the exhaust venturi though. I may try it but for now im gunna through a breather on it to get me by because thats what I have to work with.

cool, thanks for the help, 02fpcivic your probably right about the venturi , its cool that some one else knows what that is, hehe, we use them for differential pressure readings on some components in the plant. ill probably get one and hope that i get a little something from it, its pretty cheap also, so i just need to find somebody that can weld. thanks! -- Jeremy
